PAISLEY PARK, Minn. — Superstar Prince died at his estate in Carver County, Minn., on Thursday, his publicist said. On Friday, Prince was released from the hospital and returned to his Minnesota home after making an emergency landing in Illinois. Prince has been battling the flu for several weeks even canceling a couple of shows, Prince performed his last show at Fox Theatre then boarded his private plane to fly home as his flu worsened  the pilot made a unscheduled stop around 1 a.m. at Quad City International Airport in Moline. After receiving treatment, Prince was back on the plane three hours later.  Prince died earlier today (April 21) at age 57 at his Paisley Park home and studio, his publicist confirmed to the Associated Press . TMZ first reported the news. Prince has won seven Grammy Awards and has earned 30 nominations. Five of his singles have topped the charts and 14 other songs hit the Top 10. He won an Oscar for the original song score to the classic film “Purple Rain.”  RIP

 

Quentin Miller is tired of the Drake v Meek Mill beef and talked about it in a brand new interview with Vlad TV. “I thought it was corny…I just thought the whole thing was corny, okay, who gives a shit? Who cares. Make your music, bruh. That album was fire. The Dreams Worth More Than Money, that shit was fire…My name being dragged into it, my voice being dragged into it, it’s just like all I can do is just keep focusing on what I’m focusing on. I’m my own artist. I’m focusing on my own shit. I don’t want nothing to do with that…the whole shit was annoying.” Who Quentin is really annoyed with is OG Maco though because he was the initial person to put his name out all over when he didn’t need to and the two have actually stopped communicating with one another because of it.

Drake took to his Instagram to tease all of his fans with Vinyl’s of his mixtape, Room for Improvement(2006) and Comeback Season(2007). These tapes are what really got Drake buzzing and showed a lot of people that he was not just the kid in a wheel chair on a Canadian tv show but he could really rap with the best of them. Biopics are what everyone wants to do now days after the major success the N.W.A biopic received. Birdman has now said that he wants to make a Cash Money Records biopic “They are geniuses for what thye have done and accomplished, Cube been doing what he do for so long, but for them to do that and to make it trend-setting, it opened doors for us. I just think that what we have is way more special because we’re in modern time.” They believe the script is really good and making a biopic will let the world see a lot of the things we didn’t get to see which would be pretty interesting but we’ll see if it really pans out.

It is well known that there are a bunch of rappers who are really into fashion these days and Tyler, the Creator is no exception. Tyler has his own clothing line called Golf Wang and a new fashion company called Made has got a brand new event in LA and will use it to have a Golf Wang fashion show. Tyler has a very unique style and he says that the way he picks clothing for his line is all just a feeling he doesn’t put a whole lot of thought into it. So it should be interesting to see what and Odd Future fashion show looks like but we’ll get to see it soon enough because it is set to happen sometime in June.

DJ Khaled has been on a huge roll lately seeing a ton of success since he began snap chatting his daily life. Khaled has just signed a brand new deal with Epic Records and has a new album on the way called “Major Key” so things are only moving up for him. Today he has announced via his Instagram that he will be going on tour with Beyonce for her “Formation” tour which is sure to be huge. This is what Khaled had to say about this opportunity “Today I proudly announce a major milestone in my career. Today’s announcement is a major accomplishment in my life. Well this news isn’t very surprising at all but iLoveMakonnen has departed from OVO. This has been confirmed by the label today via Billboard. People assumed that this was the case because of his recent interviews where he was expressing that OVO and him were at odds as of late. Makonnen had this to say in a statement “I cannot thank OVO, 40, Oliver, Future & Mr. Morgan, enough for all that they have done for my career. No words can express how much I appreciate Drake for being a part of the success of Tuesday. I’m sure the haters will have something negative to say, but all in all my choice to be solely on Warner Bros Records was the right thing for me and for my best interest. Sorry there’s no beef to report, DRINK MORE WATER.” So it looks like there is no bad blood at all which is always a good thing.

Nicki Minaj’s older brother, Jaleni Maraj is now being indicted for raping a 12 year old girl. As we know he was arrested back in December of last year but was actually released after Nicki put up $100,000 for his bail. Now on April 4^th a grand jury decided to indict Jaleni which means he is now officially being charged with predatory assault against a child, sexual conduct against a child, felony sexual conduct against a child under age 13, sexual conduct against a child, and finally endangering the welfare of a child. If Jaleni is actually convicted he is looking at 15 years plus.

Lafayette, Louisiana has just given Lil Wayne a key to the city last night just before he performed his Tidal exclusive concert. “We appreciate what you and TIDAL have done on behalf of the philanthropic efforts and we’re so proud of our Ragin’ Cajuns, Alpha Phi Alpha, for what they did and we want to present to you a very special key to the city that we made specifically for you,” said the Mayor of Lafayette, Joel Robideaux.

A Kanye West Fan has decided to sue both Kanye himself and Tidal because they believe that they were mislead into signing up for Tidal because Ye said the album would never be on the other platforms. Of course the album is on both Apple Music and Spotify now and the man named Justin Baker-Rhett is suing and wants Tidal to erase any info they collected on people who signed up for the album on their site. So he plans to make it known that Tidal and Kanye West tricked a large amount of people into signing up for the service which does kind of seam like the case now that it is everywhere. Now this is pretty embarrassing but Rick Ross was a guest at the White House just last friday to talk criminal justice reform. Obama had Rick Ross, Chance the Rapper, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Common, Push T, Wale, Ludacris, Dj Khaled, Timbaland, and Bust Rhymes show up which is a pretty awesome guest list. TMZ is reporting that a very awkward situation went down though when Rick Ross’ ankle monitor actually decided to go off while at the White House. Ross must wear the monitor while his assault case is still pending so who knows when he’ll finally get it off.

Waka Flocka while in Seattle had consumed too many marijuana edibles. This lead to Waka ending the night with paramedics taking care of him. “Aw man. #seattle was too much last night” Waka posted to his own Instagram account. Waka Flocka must have had a ton because he is a big dude and avid user so he must of taken things to a whole other level. Check out the pic below.

Taking to his Instagram, Drake announced to the fans that he would be having a “Views” special event in NYC. With the release of his highly anticipated album “Views From The 6” Drake is having a big event in New York City and he has shared the address of the spot where it is going down which is 135 Bowery at 4PM. The event is a pop up shop where fans can get their own views shirts and they are totally free which is pretty awesome. Drake sure knows how to get the fans really hyped.

Ice Cube was definitely the highlight performer of Coachella on Saturday and then he brought out a ton of people that made his show the one to see. Ice Cube has been having a great year with the hit movie Straight Outta Compton and N.W.A finally getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cube definitely went all out for his show at Coachella having MC Ren and Dj Yella hitting the stage with him as well as his son. Ice Cube even had Snoop make an appearance as well as Common and everyone did their thing. Check out a clip below.

During an interview on the DJ Drama radio show Lil Wayne decided to finally talk about the price Jay Z was willing to pay to sign him back in 2005. “You know when I went out there to talk to him about being with Roc-A-Fella, and mind you this was years ago, years ago, first of all, he was at the 40/40 in the daytime, and when I got up there he was talking, it was Denzel, it was Derek Jeter. I was like, ‘This is his clique?’ And they up there just laughing at jokes I just don’t get. He literally sat me down next to him, and this where all that’s going on at, and he sat me right here. Like, ‘You ain’t a part of this,’ you know? And he would talk to me on the side after every joke.” Wayne said and then he finally gets to what everyone had been wanting to know which was how much Jay offered. “That man offered me 175[thousand] I said, ‘Believe that…’ I was looking like, two teeth in my mouth is 175 like two of them. My bottom teeth. So we laugh about that all the time. We joke about it all the time.” That number does seem awfully low for Lil Wayne in around his prime. Check out the clip below.
