Migos own Offset has landed himself back in jail for driving with a suspended license while in his hometown of Atlanta. Now of course this isn’t a huge a deal as his 8 months in prison for his drug and weapon possession but it can’t feel good to go through that process again. The reasoning for the suspended license was that he failed to pay a $316 parking ticket and never went to court for it. Hopefully Offset gets things taken care of so he can get his 5 years probation over with.
TIME has released their annual list of the most influential people on the internet and this year both Kanye West and Drake made it onto that list. Now we all know how Kanye has been all over Twitter lately tweeting out to his fans a lot more and sharing his ideas and thoughts. As we all know Tidal is not the most popular streaming service but when they got exclusive streaming rights to Kanye West’s latest album “The Life Of Pablo” tons of fans signed up for their free trial just to listen to it. The trial was only for one month but people canceled it right away so that they wouldn’t forget about it and be charged the next month. Now Tidal is rewarding those who stayed with the service by extending the trial for another 30 days and this is a big deal because Kanye has just updated several tracks on the album that are available for people to listen to right now. Everyone who canceled their subscription right away is out of luck.
During Spotifiy’s own stage show down at SXSW they had Vince Staples hit the stage. Now the reason this is news today is because of the major shade Staples threw at the streaming service while rocking their very own stage. “Shout out to Spotify, thank you for giving me this check to make up for what you’ve done to me and all my musical friends.” Vince Staples said while on stage and continued “listen to your favorite album 1000, 2000 times so everybody can get an album sale.” Vince is never one to not speak his mind but doing it when the company is paying you and you’re on their stage takes some guts.
Taking to his Instagram account Drake confirmed for all of his fans that his next album “Views From The 6” is confirmed to be dropping in April. The photo he shared was of his Views billboard in Toronto on a snowy night with the simple caption “APRIL”. Drake has been building up to this album for a good while now and excitement for it couldn’t be any higher. So keep it right here for any and all updates.
Kendrick Lamar seems to be on a roll when it comes to putting out music lately and on Sunday Kendrick was in the studio recording even more music. Some of it was recorded by TDE’s Dave Free on Snapchat.. Of course they get rid of the audio for the clip where Kendrick is actually laying down some vocals but we are sure to hear it sometime in the near future hopefully. Boosie Badazz will be dropping a brand new project called “Thug Talk” tomorrow and it is now available for pre-order on iTunes. In doing this he revealed to the world what the artwork and tracklist was for the project. The project comes with 17 tracks so Boosie is putting in work and this isn’t even his big album that is supposed to drop with Atlantic Records that is called “Boosie Badazz: Bigger and Badder Than Ever” but the fans are sure to get excited.

Things are getting real in the music streaming world because Jay Z has finally bit the bullet and had his classic albums removed from rival streaming service Spotify. The albums remove were The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2, and The Blueprint 3 and that is a decent jab at Spotify by Tidal but it definitely won’t be enough to takeover in any way shape or form.
Lil Wayne is no stranger to being sued with his antics but when your own lawyer is suing you then you know things are bad. It is being reported by NY Daily News that Wayne’s Lawyer is owed $300,000 from the rapper but he has not paid it and that has caused the lawyer, Michael B. Kramer to open up a lawsuit on his very own client. The suit states that Wayne was supposed to pay the lawyer $20,000 a month but failed to do so and though we have no word from Lil Wayne himself he will eventually have to do something about this situation so stay tuned.
Kanye West is set to take part in a crowd-sourced Global Citizen album called Metamorphoses. A bunch of artist from Kanye to Ellie Goulding have actually signed up to be a part of creating this album which will gather it’s lyrics from the people of the world if they choose to submit some up until the 31st of March. If you enter you automatically get the album when it drops and it is said to have 12 tracks which will most definitely be unique. Now this Global Citizen group is actually an international organization that fights poverty with education, sanitation, and healthy projects so this is all for an amazing cause. Brother of Nicki Minaj, Jelani Maraj, has now been sent to a grand jury because he was accused of raping a 12-year old on many occasions. This case was actually sent to the grand jury back on March 3rd and what will happen is the jury will get evidence and decide of Jelani should be indicted.
Dj Khaled has a lot of influence these days since he has been on Snapchat every day and now it has lead to Belize naming an Island of theirs “Belize Major Caye” after Khaled popular saying “major key”. Here is what the tourism board for Belize actually tweeted out about it today. ”Major

The album that came out of nowhere is now the number one album on Billboards 200 charts and that album is of course Kendrick Lamar’s “Untitled Unmastered”. The album is at about 178,000 in sales which is really impress for and unmastered untitled filled album that had no promo at all. This is Kendrick’s second number 1 in less then a year as well.
