Bow Wow has just announced that he has left Cash Money after being on the label for five years. Of course this looks bad because it seems people are dropping from the label left and right. Bow Wow says there is no bad blood but he had not put out a single album since he signed so it was an easy decision. "I wanna dictate when my music comes out. I'm tired of going to the studio to make records and then I listen to them. 'Cuz they get old... I just can't be held up by nobody. It's as simple as that." Now Bow Wow says he will be working closely with Jermaine Dupri again and Snoop Dogg. This could be a good direction for Bow Wow’s career that seems to have been stagnant for many years. Check out the video below of the announcement.

The-Biggest-Names-in-Hip-Hop-Rap

Nielsen’s report for 2014 showed that 28.5% of all streams last year were in fact hip-hop streams with Rock in second with 24.7% of the music stream space. Action Bronson gets interviewed by Jonah Hill

A magazine by the name of “Interview” got actor Jonah Hill to interview rapper Action Bronson and they talked all about food, music, and film. Here are some of the best parts of the interview.

HILL: So, three or four years ago, my buddy Dave Appleton, who is up on all hip-hop stuff before anyone knows about it, hips me to Bronson. This was before "Fuck, That's Delicious." He showed me some kind of YouTube show of you cooking with this very hip-hop dialect and extreme knowledge of the culinary arts. [Bronson laughs] I was already in, and then he started playing your music, and I was ... It was all I listened to for, like, three months straight. There's a lot one can say about you to someone who has no knowledge of you: born in Queens; Albanian; former chef. And that's how I pitch you to people who are stupid and don't know who you are. But then I go, "You got to see him to believe him." My work as a fan has been to just share the gospel with as many people as I could.

BRONSON: That's fucking incredible right there. That's quite an introduction.

HILL: I'm constantly trying to get you cast in movies. And I have to explain to these older white directors who you are. It's been a hilarious process so far.

BRONSON: Let's go. You know I'm ready.

Fetty Wap talks Drake remixing “My Way”

fetetet

Fetty Wap just got a huge cosign in the rap game with a Drake feature on his song “My Way”. Fetty had a interview with Fader and had this to say about his experience talking to Drake. "He sent me a DM, and I sent him my number. When I landed from Tampa a couple of days ago, and as soon as I landed and turned my phone off of airplane mode, he was FaceTiming from DC where he was playing 'My Way' at a club. He was like, 'Yo, I want to cut the record tonight.' Next thing I know, I checked my email and it was there." Then Fetty talks about the respect he has for Drizzy Drake by saying "The thing I respect about Drake the most is that he's not one of them artists that take his status and just do what he want with it. He has the status to just do anybody's track, if he really wants to. I'm just a nobody compared to Drake, and he still actually asked me, 'Is it cool if I do a remix?' And even the way he said it—more like, 'Can I bless it?' He was thanking me for putting him on the remix, and I'm trying to tell him like, 'No, thank you. You don't understand what you're doing for me.' He's definitely a very, very, very, very humble person."
