Fabolous is going to have a pretty busy last two and a half months of the year because he has two projects coming out this year. Loso’s Way 2 will not be coming out in 2015 though which is what the fans have really been waiting for but Fab has more up his sleave then just that. First fans will be getting his Summertime Shootout mixtape that is slated to drop very soon and after that on Christmas Day there will be another project of his and TIDAL actually tweeted that out which leads us to believe that It will may be TIDAL exclusive. YG’s sophomore album called “Still Krazy” should be dropping sometime in the near future but in other news from the rapper he has went and got himself a huge head tattoo. YG has went and got the very top of his head tatted up and the tat is religious being an image of Virgin Mary with the words “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” circled around it. L.A. Reid worked at Def Jam for seven years and in that time he worked with some huge names in the music industry. One of his many accomplishments he takes credit for is reviving Mariah Carey’s career when it was not in such a great place which lead to her very successful comeback album titled “The Emancipation of Mimi”. Reid was on the Rap Radar just this week and talked about all of that and brought up something pretty amazing. Mariah gave Reid some great advice in suggesting that he hire Jay Z on as the president of Def Jam. Jay was the president of Def Jam from 2004 until 2008 and made Rihanna’s successful career what it is today in the process.

Well known rapper from Louisiana, Kevin Gates, got married on Saturday to the mother of his two children, Dreka Haynes. The wedding was well documented on Kevins Instagram account and all came with captions from him that range from normal to a little out there. Good for Kevin Gates for finally taking the next step with the woman he has been with for such a long time hopefully they make everything work smoothly despite Kevins wild antics.

Drakes single “Hotline Bling” that came out in the middle of the Summer with his diss tracks has been a huge hit lately staying way on top of the charts. Drake just today revealed that he will be dropping the much anticipated music video for the single on October 19^th and fans should be pretty hyped. Halloween may just be the best time for new music this year with the rumored Drake album coming out around then and the Migos and Young Thug dropping a mixtape on the 31^st. The track will be called “Migos Thuggin” and they announced it’s release date just today on Instagram with the artwork which you can check out below. Offset of the Migos is still locked up so he most likely wont be around for the release but with all the club bangers Thug and Migos make it is still going to have fans Halloween parties of to a great start.

Some big names will be headlining Okeechobee fest in Florida. It will be going down on March 4-6 with huge performances from Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap, Miguel, Future, Big Grams, and more. Next year will be the first year for this festival so the organizers wanted to keep it pretty intimate with only 80 performers. So any fans of hip-hop that reside in Florida should definitely check this festival out.

As everyone should know by now Lamar Odom has been in a coma after he got to a Las Vegas hospital yesterday. Today is is being reported that Odom actually opened his eyes and was able to communicate a little bit. The former LA Laker player was asked if he wanted to see his kids and replied yes according to witnesses but we have no word on if he spoke the words or just nodded. This is a great sign showing that things just might be turning around and his body could be getting better but he is not out of the woods yet the fight for his life rages on.

PReign has took it upon himself to call out Tory Lanez over Instagram but soon after deleted his own post. But since the internet is the internet it was saved and Preign said this “Hey!! Kid with all the beads on. Behave yourself before I really have to remind people your from Brampton. N*ggaz let this rap shit gas them,” This all came about because Lanez tweeted out “This whole calling Toronto the ‘6’ thing.. It’s not cool bro” though he said in the next tweet that he supports everything out of Toronto. Reign has close ties with Drake and they are both from Toronto so that is why he decided to get involved.

Rihanna will be a guest star on NBC’s show “The Voice” next week. The episode will be airing on October 26^th and Rihanna will be giving helping out contestants with fashion tips and vocal tips. This comes just as Rihanna is about to release a new album called “Anti” so it is genius timing and will more then likely get a lot more people checking out her project.

As previously reported on Jay Z and Timbaland have been in a lawsuit for their hit single “Big Pimpin” for many years now and it is just now coming close to an end. The trial is about copyright infringement over the song and they are being sued by the heirs of Baligh Hamdi who was an Egyptian composer who made the song “khosara Khosa” which was sampled in the track. Jay was asked a ton of questions about what lead up to the creation of the track and he even brought out the original cd showing that they gave credit where it was due. Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover has really made a name for himself in the rap game though he did start out doing television. Next year Gambino will have a comedy show airing on FX and it will be about cousins trying to get into the rap game in Atlanta. Childish will be a main writer and director as well as being a big role in the show. He will play Earnest who is a man who returns to Atlanta to manage his cousins rap career. A whopping 69% of rap artist who are murdered never have their case solved. The big ones that everyone knows about is Tupac and Biggie who’s cases were never solved but just this year five rappers were murdered and none had justice served. XXL had done a study and came up with that fact that out of 52 rap artist murders 36 of them remain unsolved. That means if you are a rapper there is a 69% chance that if you are murdered it will never be solved. This is a shocking number because the national clearence rate is 64.1% and rapper homicides is only at 31% clearence rate. Hopefully this number goes up eventually but it really shows you what the justice system thinks of rap artists.

The Games beef with Young Thug has been going on for quite some time now which all started with Game jumping in on the Young Thug and Lil Wayne beef. This beef doesn’t really make sense but it is going so we will see what becomes of it and it is only heating up more since The Game has his album “The Documentary 2” out and is doing a bunch of interviews which are getting him to speak on the current beef. Most recently was an interview he did with LA 92.3 with Big Boy and he was asked to name three rappers he felt are wack MCs. Game said right off the bat with no hesitation that Young Thug is the leader of the wack MCs. No word back from Young Thug yet but it is sure to come so keep it locked for any updates.

Ludacris is well known for his acting in the Fast and Furious franchise but it looks like he will taking to the production side of things very soon. Luda is going to be executive producing a drama on CBS that centers around Atlantas gang culture. The show will be called “The Down Beat” and will be co-exec produced by both Ludacris, Ryan Seacrest, and Nina Wass. The show has you follow a former businessman as he trys to get young men out of the gang life through a local high schools marching band. This sounds very interesting like the movie Drumline with real world gang life thrown in hopefully it ends up doing well but keep it locked for any updates.
