It is well known that Diddy has been a big earner in the hip-hop community for many years now but he is definitely putting a lot of money on the line for the upcoming Mayweather v. Pacquiao fight. In a brand new Instagram video Diddy and his business partner for AquaHydrate, Mark Wahlberg, have decided to make a $250,000 bet on this big fight. Diddy has his money on Mayweather while Mark has his on Pacquiao.
As of April 21st Dame Dash had lost primary custody of his two daughters to Rachel Ray, his ex-wife, who claimed Dash was unfit to raise the children. There has been no word on the situation from Dame but it seems in his silence he was readying a lawsuit for $2.5 million. TMZ is reporting Dame is suing his ex-wife for unlawful business conduct that involved two previous fashion companies the two had started together. Dame is claiming that she had a “breach of Contract” plus “Interfering with cash distributions due to him.” Keep it locked right here for more information on this ongoing lawsuit.
Waka Flocka Flame says he has not been into the studio for nine months to work on Flockaveli 2 while talking with MTV. Waka also talked about how his upcoming album will be more EDM focused and he is not being held down to any genre anymore. When asked about the beef with Gucci Mane Waka says that he is now “in a good place” and “I’d say [from a] business point of view, it’ll never happen. Just because a snake’s frozen right now, when it thaws out don’t mean it ain’t gonna bite you.” But then Waka ends by saying “It’s under the rug, man Fuck it. It is what it is.” So it’s not exactly very clear but hopefully this beef is over at least for now.
Chance the rapper once again cancels tour dates because of an illness. A year back Chance cancelled a few shows because he had symptoms of tonsillitis and the flu. Now he is taking some more shows this year because of a sickness. There are no specifics as to what exactly the illness is this time around but his rep took to twitter and said a few of his shows will be rescheduled but they give no exact number. Hopefully Chance gets well soon and can keep giving his fans great music and performances.
The beef between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather has been ongoing for quite some time when 50 said Floyd owned him money for business ventures he cashed into with him without the ventures ever coming to fruition. Ever since this 50 has been taking shots at Floyd whenever he could poking fun at his reading abilities and his ex being with Nelly. But this also ended today when 50 and Floyd got together and took a picture together that was posted to Instagram with the caption “The original Money Team.” Plus he also plugged the big Mayweather v Pacquiao fight on May 2nd which only shows us that 50 is back on Mayweathers good side just in time for the big event.
Common is known to show his acting chops in plenty of roles and of course has roles lined up at this time but now he is said to be in the highly anticipated upcoming DC comics’ movie “Suicide Squad”. The role he will have has not be revealed yet but some other huge stars already have roles in this film including Jared Leto playing the Joker, Will Smith playing Deadshot, and Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn. This is a great movie to really show off acting abilities since comic movies have really been pushing it in recent years.
Russell Wilson was at a Mariners game recently and had a beautiful woman by his side that happened to be the singer Ciara. With Russell Wilson being one of the very few lucky athletes who was chosen to attend this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner Wilson has made Ciara his date to the event. There is no word on an official relationship between the two but it sure does look that way with all the time they are spending together. Wonder what Future is thinking about all this either way it’s good for Ciara and Russell Wilson.
Frank Ocean was born with the name Christopher Edwin Breaux and he tried to get his name legally changed to Frank Ocean bank in November. The judge denied him though because he had unpaid tickets and had a suspended driver’s license. But all of that must have been fixed because today Frank Ocean was granted his name change. Franks upcoming album comes out in July and is called BOYSDONTCRY though nothing is confirmed yet but details are sure to come out soon enough.
Just over three weeks ago the TIDAL steaming service launched with a bunch of big name musician putting their face by the brand and showing support all over social media. Just last week the CEO of TIDAL was fired a long with some employees and now it seems as though support is fading already. Billboard is reporting that the TIDAL app has now fallen out of the app stores top 750 apps and it is in position 45 in the music app category. Plus to add to this all Kanye West, one of the biggest co-signs of the streaming service, has deleted his tweet that showed support to the service. This could be the end of TIDAL and it only just started.

Bobby Shmurda, if you don’t remember, was arrested along with other members of his GS9 crew and was charged with over 100 different crimes that ranged from conspiracy to possession. Each member is on Riker’s Island with a bail set at $2 million all awaiting trial. Today it was announced that Bobby and Rowdy Rebel have had their trail dates set for June 25th. Shmurda’s lawyer after the court appearance told XXL “What I would want is some reasonableness to take place and that this young man can be given a reasonable bail and get out, but I know what we’re up against. We’re not up against reason. We’re up against the rule of law.” Keep it right here for any updates on this case.
Just last night Tyga’s ex Blac Chyna who is also the mother of his child took to Instagram posting a picture of her with her lips enlarged. This all happens after the whole #KylieJennerChallenge that kids have been doing and posting on social media where they would make their lips huge trying to copy Kylie Jenner. Though she never uses the hashtag in her pic Chyna makes it pretty obvious she’s taking shots at Kylie who is currently seeing Tyga secretly. Kylie also posted a pic of her driving what is said to be Tyga’s truck with the caption “Currently” and Chyna posted a photo soon after saying “Permanently” which a photo of her wearing next to nothing.
It was thought that Vic Mensa would sign with GOOD Music since he has been spending so much time with Kanye West for the past few months. But it turns out Mensa has just signed a deal with Roc Nation which Kanye is also signed too which is a big deal because Mensa only has one mixtape and an EP. Vic Mensa is joining J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Rihanna, more on the label. This seems like a great fit for Vic and he may still get to work closely with Ye which can only be good for his career.
Ludacris has been invited to lead NBA playoff event at Phillips Stadium where the Atlanta Hawks will be playing the Brooklyn Nets game 2. Luda will be the one announcing the Hawks lineup during the game and even gets to give the fans a halftime performance. The Hawks also created custom T-shirts for Ludas night that are available to all who show up to the game.
Rich Homie Quan was on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” where he talks about his rough childhood robbing houses four times a week and talks about his falling out with Young Thug. As you may recall a few weeks back Young Thug called Rich Homie Quan “Bitch Homie Quan” while on stage at a show yet both parties claimed there was no beef. But Quan told “Highly Questionable” that the words Young Thug said upset him. “Not to get in my feelings, but it hurt. Not as in I’m going to cry, but I would never disrespect you point blank period, especially when we have each other’s numbers.” Now Quan isn’t going to be throwing insults back at Young Thug but we can expect the two won’t be working with one another anymore.
