Diddy is having trouble bringing up viewership on Revolt TV

Diddy’s brand new Revolt TV has been all over the internet the past year but the television network itself is having trouble in the viewership department. As of now their views sit at a 25 million household base. They are saying some of the blame could be put on the Comcast merger with Time Warner making the network slow to grow. With no wide range of cable companies able to advertise them they are having a hard time reaching as many viewers as possible.

 

Iggy Azalea sues her Ex Jefe Wine over stolen data and Forgery

According to TMZ Iggy Azalea has filed a lawsuit against Jefe Wine which is the man who says he recorded a sex tape with her. Iggy is saying that he downloaded files off of her computer back in 2009 while they lived together in Atlanta supposedly unreleased master recordings of her music. Azalea also says that Wine is saying he has a contract signed by her that allows him rights to her work exclusively and that is where the forgery part of it comes into play.

Lil B has created an app called “Basedmoji” for the iPhone

Rapper Lil B has created an app on the app store right now for free called “Basedmoji”. The app allows you to select any of the Based Gods animations to send in your personal texts. In the description it says the app was designed by Lil B himself. The app is already making its way up the top free apps chart in the app store sitting at number 41 right now and is five stars with nearly all five star reviews and very interesting comments from people who have downloaded it.

The Game and Chris Brown headlining Power 106 Celebrity Basketball Game to Prevent Gang Violence

The radio station based in L.A. Power 106 is getting the top celebrity basketball players to be in their all-star game. This game is to benefit Homeboy Industries which is a non profit organization that’s goal is to get gang members off of the streets in into real jobs. Ironically enough the largest stars participating are known blood affiliates those being the game and Chris Brown. The event will take place on September 21st at the USC Galen Center. Other artists playing in the event are Trey Songz, Nick Cannon, Riff Raff, Tyga, and more.

The BET Hip-Hop Awards are around the corner taping on September 20th and airing on BET on October 14th at 8 PM. With all the new talent out this year a lot of people are anxiously waiting to find out who will be performing. With Snoop returning to host and set to perform the rest of the line up as known so far includes Common, Birdman, DJ Premier, DJ Mustard, Rich Homie Quan, Bobby Shmurda, Young Thug, Vince Staples, Jay Electronica, Migos, YG and Rae Sremmurd. Eminem suing New Zealand National Party for their use of his song “Lose Yourself”

A lawsuit against New Zealand’s National party has been issued by Eminem for the use of his song “Lose Yourself” off of the 8 Mile soundtrack. They used the song for an ad for the Prime Minister John Key and Em is seeking damages for copyright infringement according to Associated Press. The National Party believes they are innocent in the matter and will be defending this action also saying that other organizations have used the song without any legal ramifications.

Russel Simmons has said “Public Enemy Changed Everything About Black America”

In an interview with Noisey Russel and Rick Rubin talked about Chuck D being reluctant to return to music and the beginnings of Public Enemy and Def Jam. Simmons talked about the political impact of the group saying “Public Enemy changed everything about Black America, everything. They made Farrakhan popular. They helped make the Million Man March. They put red, black, and green shit around niggas’ necks instead of chains. They did everything. They were amazing.”

The single is said to be called “I” and is supposed to drop on (9/23) with and eventual album drop that should come before the years end and it cannot come soon enough for Kendrick fans. Gucci Mane Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Gucci Mane reportedly hit an Army staff sergeant on the head at a night club. Sources say the sergeant had walked up to Gucci Mane’s VIP section asking for a picture with the rapper when Gucci Mane assaulted him with a bottle of Vodka.

“Rather than accommodating the admiring fan, Davis, for no explicable reason, instead, hit the victim over the head with a vodka bottle and then hurriedly left the club. The victim sustained a deep laceration to his forehead which required 10 stitches,” said District Attorney Paul Howard.

Childish Gambino Sticks with his Previous Comments about Drake

After being asked for his opinion on Drake during a presentation with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg, Gambino said, “I don’t hate Drake at all. I really like Drake, if not for no other reason than he makes me better. He really does, for real, I think he’s a really good writer and rapper. Right now, I definitely think I’m better than him, but only because I’m working harder than him right now. Rihanna Lashed out at CBS for Pulling her Song

Nicki Minaj isn’t the only artist to have recent issues with CBS. Last week, Rihanna’s song “Run This Town” was supposed to play during a CBS broadcast; however, CBS has scheduled the song for next Thursday. Rihanna took it to Twitter to show how displeased she was:

“CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday? NO, Fuck you! Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this.”

Kanye says his comments towards handicapped fans were blown out of proportion

At Kanye's show today September 15th in Brisbane, Australia he brought up the incident saying the comments are not worthy of the attention they received. Kanye was quoted saying “bullshit blown out of proportion,” He added that he should not be the object of criticism saying “I’m a married, Christian man with a family, Pick another target.” West also addressed the handicapped fans at todays show saying that people can only remain seated if they could prove to him that they need to be.

Sir Mix-A-Lot back in 1992 had his big hit “Baby Got Back” which was all about women with curves. With 2014s Nicki Minaj hit using the hit in “Anaconda” Mix couldn’t help but share how he thought people have changed in the years between to two hits. “When I did ‘Baby Got Back,’ women with curves were not accepted,” Mix-A-Lot says in an interview with Billboard. He goes on to say that the African American community has always loved women with curves and that the woman shouldn’t be ashamed if they got them which he thinks Nicki Minaj is creating a movement with.
