On ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio” remix Nas touched on his Def Jam recording contract. “Finished up my new album / Single about to be dropping / Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options,” Now Nas has announced that he is running Mass Appeal Records and has already confirmed artist he has signed to the label. So hopefully this means more freedom for Nas and more great music from him and his new artists.
Recently sitting down with Sway and MTV news Chris Brown opened up about it. Chris when asked about them putting their differences in the past said “We’re young, so it’s not like a pow wow over tea or nothing. It didn’t need to be explained. It wasn’t no problem.” Then when asked about him and Drake appearing together at the ESPYs he said “ Drake’s camp actually called me to do the skit. School Boy Q lets everyone know that he is definitely working on more music. "It's another journey I'm about to take to finish another album, no telling when I'll finish it, but my plans is for it to drop it next year. I'm not promoting it right now, I'm still on my Oxymoron wave, but I'm definitely working on my second album.”
Today, Ne-Yo has released a single from his Non-Fiction album. His single is called “She Knows” featuring Juicy J. The media has pointed out many of the similarities of She Knows and other popular songs like Ariana Grande’s “Problem” and Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty”. All of the songs consisting of similar saxophone riffs.
Rapper French Montana has a song entitled “Gucci Mane” that he has been teasing to his fans that features Rick Ross and Lil Wayne with Kanye helping produce. The record company behind the accusation is Chinga Chang Records claiming the song belongs to their artist 9gotti. They are currently trying to stop French Montanas version from releasing. The record label sent a cease and desist letter. In the letter it states that the rip off may have been a drunken oversight, the letter also accused Diddy of being a music thief and it says Rick should know better he is an ex correctional officer. When a security guard tried to get in the way of Lloyd Banks and his fans the rapper shoved him and it was all caught on camera and is now circulating the internet. He yelled out “Check this out. Get the fuck outta here, I don’t need security. Go that way!” Then proceeded to give the security another push after clearing all the security away he continued the show.

On August 30, 2012 Hip Hop manager Chris Lighty, 44, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after having an argument with his estrange wife. The founder of Violator Management was found by police lying face up on the basement patio in a pool of blood with a 9 mm pistol by his side. Yesterday (Sept 8th)on an episode of Celebrity Crime Files two of Lighty good friends LL Cool and Busta Rhymes who wrote a tribute song to Lighty title "Chris Lighty" will talk about their suspicion of wrong doing in Lighty death. 50 Cent a client of Lighty and Lighty mother hire private investigator Les Levine to investigate Lighty death. They do not believe that Lighty committed suicide over money, he supposedly owed the IRS $5 million dollars or he will not kill himself over marital problems.
In Evansvill, Indiana on Sunday night the migos were supposed to perform but never did. This was after already being paid 11,000 up front with another 10,000 to pay them after the performance. But police reports say the Migos took the money and left and when the promoters, 41 South, tried to confront the group they had two guns pointed at them. With no arrest made yet the situation is still developing and we will keep you updated.
