T.I has been cast in a new film
Rapper T.I. has just landed a role in Marvel's film "Ant-Man". This film will add to the rapper growing film and television credit which includes "Amerian Gangster"," Identity Thief", "ATL", and Reality TV. Other cast members of the film includes Paul Rudd as the title character, Michael Douglas plays his mentor, Evangeline Lily plays Michael daughter and Corey Stoll as the Yellow Jacket the arch nemesis of Ant-Man.
Love & Hip Hop Hollywood is set to premiere on VH1 on September 15th
VH1 has added another Love & Hip Hop show to their line-up. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood will add to the already existing Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and New York. The cast members for the Hollywood show includes Ray J, Soulja Boy and Omarion. Lil Fizz , Omarion former B2K member will also make an appearance on the show. Female cast includes actress Teairre Marie, Nikki Mudarris, radio deejay Yesi Ortiz and club promoter Sincere will make an appearance on the show.
Nelly & T.I. react to Ferguson Protest
The rapper Nelly decided to come out and talk publicly about the death of Michal Brown. Nelly talked with TMZ telling them “I understand the frustration, but we have to strategize before we overreact…We don’t get no do-over on sh*t like this, so we have to do it right the first time.” He also added “Ain’t nothing happen no different that hasn’t been happening…At the end of the day, we should have waited to strategize first and take all the right steps to organize.”
T.I. shared similar thoughts with TMZ saying “We needed to play chess instead of checkers. We should have waited to see if justice was going to be served first…We shouldn’t have played our strongest hand first.”
Nelly was also saying that he wants to do something productive, so he will be opening a scholarship fund in the name of Michael Brown. The first celebs that are pledging $15,000 a year in college tuition to teens chosen by the brown family are Nelly, Kevin Hart, T.I., and Al Jefferson.
Nicki Minaj is being sued
Nicki Minaj is being sued by IMP Entertainment for 50,000 after allegedly flaking out on her duties. IMP is suing her for showing up at their event late and leaving early. In 2011 they hired Minaj to host and NBA All Star weekend event that was an hour long. IMP claimed MInaj showed up 90 minutes late and left 30 minutes early. The lawsuit read that she was so late "defeated the entire purpose" of her hosting the event.

LL Cool J career has span almost 3 decades, he released his first album "Radio" in 1985 and now he has a new album "G.O.A.T. 2". LL said in his career "I've done two types of album, cultural albums and then the ones that people will always like." The people connect with my cultural albums, as it connects with the street." This new album of LL is gritty and he said this album is mainly for the niggas, this one is not for the ladies, the album is about real stories. Several artist has joined LL on this album artist such as Maino, Raewkon, Uncle Murda and many others.

Gun shot fired on set of NWA movie
Last week as the film crew for the NWA movie "Straight Outta Of Compton" were setting up there was a drive by shooting. None of the film crew were injured but one civilian was shot but survive. Apparently a few local drove by the filming location threw up gang signs to a passing car, which result in the car passengers returning and opening fire on them. Authorities do not know if the incident is gang related, the shooting is still under investigation.

50 Cent and SMS Audio is working on a partnership with a major tech company
In a recent interview 50 and his SMS business partner Brian Nohe announced they are close to landing a partnership with a major tech company. 50 and SMS Audio has not been able to compete with Dr. Dre "Beats" but with this new partnership they are going to create a major new product. Nohe believes SMS and Beats can co-exist there certainly enough room for major players in the earphone category. 50 said " Hip Hop and music in general have been the advertisements for high-end products like cars since it became commercially viable. "It's the things we've been doing for a long time without being conscious of it," 50 said. "Like the major companies–Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini–they don't make car commercials because music culture has been their commercial. For all that time, we take those things and create the music videos that would constantly have it have representation to the general public without them spending the marketing dollars."
NBA team fined $25,000 because of Drake
The Toronto Raptor Global Ambassador, Drake made comment about Kevin Durant and it cost the NBA team $25,000. During the Canadian born rapper annual OVO Fest in Toronto he made a pitch to Oklahoma City, Thunder player Kevin Durant. Drake asked the crowd to show Durant some love in hopes that he would be taken in by the response and one day sign with the Raptors the attempted recruitment was weak and it cost the team $25,000.
