Nick Young who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers say Iggy was negatively affected by the backlash she received after Nick Minaj acceptance speech at the 2014 BET AWARDS. After Nicki speech Iggy posted on Instagram that she was "unbothered by anything that happened at the BET Awards." Nick said differently he said he had to deal with the aftermath of it all. He said when Iggy came home and was going through her phone hearing everybody talking trash about her I had to be there for her.
On July 2 Nicki posted on twitter that she had "congratulated Iggy on the success of "Fancy".
Dame Dash lawyer has asked a judge to allow him to break from Dash who is at the time facing a couple of lawsuits. One of Dash lawsuits is a breach of contract and copyright infringement filed by Dwayne Walker. Walker claimed he created the Roc-A-Feela logo and has not paid for the design. The second suit was filed by New Orleans rapper Curren$y who is looking for payment from Dash for releasing "Pilot Talk" and "Pilot Talk II without permisson. Dash lawyer John Fazzio said he is not being properly compensated for his work and he has been unable to get in contact with Dash. Legal papers states:
I have consistently communicated with Defendant Dash, and his representatives, asking for them to assist with their defense and asking them to cure large outstanding balances owed to the Firm, and indicated repeatedly that the Firm would be making this motion to withdraw as counsel if the pattern of non-responsiveness and non-compliance with their paymentobligations continued and if the outstanding bill for services rendered to date was not paid.
A hug brawl broke out on Tuesday during the taping of Atlanta Love And Hip Hop reunion show. Report say the fight involved Benzino, his fiancee Althea, Stevie J, his wife Joseline, Debra, Tammy and Mimi. The fight broke out because Benzino had told a joke about Stevie J and Joseline doing drugs Stevie reportly got up in Benzino face then security guard had stopped him and that is when Joseline attacked Althea, weaves were pulled out during the fight. It is said every time security broke up one fight another would start. The women was doing most of the fighting one of them even hit the security guard. The altercation got so out of hand some one call 911, cops and paramedics came to the scene a few people received treatment. It is reported that camera were rolling during most of the brawl.

Over 750 Independent label has united in order to set up a new initiative called "Fair Digtial Deals Declaration." Independet artist worldwide want to be treated fairly in agreements pretaining to digital exploitation of artist work in recorded music agreements with third parties. There are five key points in the declaration they are:
•Ensure that artists’ share of download and streaming revenues is clearly explained in recording agreements and royalty statements in reasonable summary form.
•Account to artists a good-faith pro-rata share of any revenues and other compensation from digital services that stem from the monetization of recordings but are not attributed to specific recordings or performances.
•Encourage better standards of information from digital services on the usage and monetization of music.
•Support artists who choose to oppose, including publicly, unauthorized uses of their music.
•Support the collective position of the global independent record company sector
The Chairman of Worldwide Independent Network siad in a statement "A healthy commercial relationship based on mutual trust and partnership between artists and labels is critical to the long term financial health of our industry. We believe that this new initiative, which seeks to put in place simple, fair and transparent guidelines for labels dealing with third party digital partners is a template for best practice. We invite companies – majors and indies – to join the hundreds of companies who have already signed and put a stop to the practise of diverting revenues from the artists without whom we would not have a business."

On July 14th a video that feature Kanye West had surface, on the video West is explaining why he hates airports and how he avoids people at those places. The video is actually footage of an reality tv show that had been scrapped. On the video West said "I try to avoid airports at all cost, because people like to say really stupid stuff to me. But, I’m fine. Wait, that’s completely, politically incorrect. I really like being in airports. I like people walking up to me saying sh*t like ‘are you Kanye West?’" Back in March, West was sentence to anger management therapy after assaulting a photographer at an airport in Los Angeles.

Kanye has been dissed by a tv star for the second time in less than two weeks. The first star who dissed the rapper was Stacy Dash she dissed Kanye for comparing being raped to being harassed by the paparazzi. Dash said "West should go to jail to experience what rape is really like. The second star to dissed him is Nick Wechsler who star on ABC series "Revenge" the actor said “If the choice is between Kanye and anyone else, I’m picking the other guy,” “Just his personality… It’s hard not to want bad things for him.”
It is the 10th anniversary of Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Yesterday during his hour long set New Orleans rapper Jay Electronica brough out a few artist to perform with him during the set. First up was Mac Mill who performed "Suplexes Inside of Complexes and Duplexes", then he brought out J. Cole and Talib Kweli for the collaborative song "Just Begun". Then Jay brought out the one artist who represent Brooklyn the most Jay Z. Jay was able to stop by and perform a few classic hits before his "On The Run" concert later that night with Beyonce.
A Chicago judge has issued an arrest warrant for rapper Chief Keef for failure to appear in court. Keef was to appear in court July 14th in a child support case. The rapper reportedly owes $10,000 in back child support for his 17 month old daughter. According to the child mother Erica Early, Keef had made a few payments earlier in the year but never caught up on his obligations. This is the second pending child support case against Keef in Cook County.

A television concert special will be taped during their September performance in Paris. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo said "This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO", "It going to be a night to remember." HBO has feature both Jay Z and Beyonce before. On Friday July 11th Mills was sentence to serve time in jail for probation violation. Prosecutor is concern about Mill taking a picture with a gun, no one know exactly which photo the prosecutor is referring too, but the cover art for "Chirag" may be the picture in question. Mill is currently in custody, one report say the rapper will do 3 to 6 months and county jail but a member of Mills team say he has to serve 3 to 4 weeks. It is not know when he will start serving time.
On July 19th Mills is schedule to perform at Temple University Liacouras Center as part of his "Home Coming" tour.
Lebron James the number one basketball player on the planet is leaving the Miami Heat and returning the Cleveland Cavalier where his NBA career began. During his 11 years in the NBA James played 7 years with the Cavalier and 4 years with the Heat. While in Miami he went to the NBA finals four consecutive years earning two NBA tittle. While at a club last week Chris Brown was seen throwing up gang signs, it was later said that the signs were connected to Comptons Fruit Town Piru Bloods set the Blood has co-sign Brown. A Piru member said that Brown has not been officially initiated but he is an affiliate of the gang. Brown is not involve in any criminal or gang related activities, his involvement has to do with charitable work and community support.
Brown get Piru Bloods co-sign because:
- He’s hired several of them to work for him … giving their Compton community an economic boost
- Chris comes to the hood and hangs out with them - He shot a music video in the neighborhood … and even included some of them in the vid

A group of Chinese website is being sued by Beats Electronics for making billion of dollars by selling counterfeit Beats Electronics headphones. It is said that the fake headphones has generated $135 billion in revenue. The fake headphones has an "b" logo that is also feature on Beats Electronics headphones. The lawsuit want to stop the sale of the fake headphones and to take ownership of the fraudulent domain names that sell the headphones.
In a video recording Lil Wayne speaks about the seizure he suffered at a Cash Money Show a few years ago. The rapper speak about the elaborate concert performance which included arriving on stage in a helicopter, the Hot Boys were being wheeled out to the middle of the arena in laundry cart and then they would sneak onto the the helicopter unbeknownst to the fan. He also mention the oversize Cristal bottle (30 to 40 ft in the air) on stage that shot water at the audience. During his performance Wayne was making it rain well before he was featured on Fat Joe record "Make It Rain". The show also included Baby and Mannie Fresh coming out of a big ass diamond Rolex. This was back in the day when shows and production for show would go over the top. During mid performance of one of the show Wayne suffered a seizure and passed out on stage, the seizure was caused by heat flashes. Wayne said "I caught a fuckin heat flash and bong I just dropped on stage. He eventually got better but he had to miss three or four shows because doctors told him he should not be on stage. Even though Wayne was not there they played his song every night.
