Youtube may soon delete Independent Artist video

Google own Youtube may soon delete Independent Artist music videos from the popular website.  The company say it has sealed a deal with 95% of it music label partners companies that uses Youtube advertising to market their music. Some Independent artist is not on board with the deal they say it is unfair they are being offered an highly unfavorable terms as compared to the big companies.  Youtube is going to add a new subscription service in a few days called "Music Pass" the service allows users to avoid ads and download music directly from sites.  Some Independent do not like the deal because they claim that they account for 35% of all music traffic on Youtube and they should get a percentage of the revenue from "Music Pass".  Youtube is trying to bring their music partners new revenue streams in addition to the hundreds of million of dollars Youtube already generates from them each   year.  The Independent Artist who have not agreed to the streaming deal will have their music video blocked on the regular advertising sponsored Youtube service in a matter of days.  Youtube is an amazing music experience, both as a global platform for fans and artist to connect , it is a way consumers learns about new musicians.

DMX wife Tashera Simmons win settlement with the rapper

In order to make sure DMX pay his child support his living wages  has been garnished by the state of New York.  The rapper wife Tashera Simmons will get $15,000 a month  from DMX checks from Universal Music Publishing.  Document revealed that $10,000 will specifically go to the four kids the couple has together and $5,000 to unspecific support.

Kanye West makes remarks about President Obama

West said President Obama "can't effect change from inside the White House" "Obama lacks power without money and that good ideas and extreme genius is cheap." "You can't make real change in those type of elected positions." The producer/rapper said "he is on a mission from god and that one shouldn't go against the power."  Instead of being at home with his family West has been making rounds of rant filled media appearances.  During a recent appearance he compared himself to "Apple" Steve Jobs.

Ronald (Ra Diggs) Herron and Uncle Murda testify at murder trial

Rapper Ra Diggs (Ronald Herron) is currently on trail in a Brooklyn Federal Court for murdering Frederick Brooks,  Ricahrd Russo, Zapata and drug dealing and rackeetering charges.  While on the stand the Ra Diggs who also allegedly terriorized the Gowanus Housing Projects with his henchmen  tried to down play his image of being a wealthy, drug dealing gang leader like he say he is in his music.  Ra Diggs told the court he left his life of crime in the past and turned to rap music.  He said "I went through a whole retrospective process. I changed radically. Uncle Murda (Leonard Grant) from the group Murda Team was called to the stand on Wednesday to testify on Ra Diggs behalf.   Murda revoked his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination in order to take the stand.  Murda said "sometimes we exaggerate things to sound like the best thing out there." "We  spent $3,000 to $5,000 a night in bottle service at the clubs to keep up the appearnace of being
rich rappers."  During the trial the prsecution presented music video that reference violence acts, one vidoe image of Herron at a hospital the rapper was warning his eventual victim in the clip he said "see you at a cemetery near you man." Ra Diggs said the act were merely "hyperbole".

Kanye West talks about “Beats Electronic” deal with “Apple” and Instagram

While he was attending Cannes Lions Creativity Conference in France, West talk about how Jay Z deal with "Samsung" helped Dr. Dre get the deal with "Apple".  If Jay did not strike a deal with "Samsung" to have his album debut on "Samsung Galaxy phone there would be no "Beats Electronic" deal with "Apple."  Jay deal with "Samsung" showed the number one company (Apple) the importance of connecting with culture. West reportedly think that "Apple" has lost some of its touch at connecting with culture after Steve Jobs(one of West biggest influence) died and he see the "Beats" acquisition as a way to start getting it connection back.  West is not excited about "Samsung", he is a big fan of "Apple".  Because of the way my parents raised me I have to work with the number one citing that Jay, Beyonce and Louis Vuitton are number ones.
Kanye also talk about how he like to fix "Instagram".  He said to "Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom I said to Kevin [Systrom], why don’t you let us redo Instagram? Now, you know, Instagram is nice. It’s nice looking. I’m not knocking it. But just in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones. And just as a simple task, we could clean that up.

T.I. Call Azealia Banks a whole lot of names

T.I. said Azealia Banks is a "musty-mouth-thot-bot-bad-body-syphilis-lipped-rectum-vomit-unimportant-uggggllyy-monstrosity-of-maggot-ass-BIIIIIITTTTCCCHHHH!!!!!!!  T.I apparently made the comment after Azealia twitter post that read "U want no mediocre but...Have you seen you wife?" It is believe that Azealia made the comment in reference to T.I song "No Mediocre".
In March 2012 Azealia called T.I. corny because he defended Iggy Azalea(who he help introduced to the public) in their feud.  Azealia and Iggy was feuding in 2012  because Iggy was given a spot on  the XXL Freshmen Cover.  Azealia did not think the Australian should be the only female represented because of lyrics in her "D.R.U.G.S" song which reference being a slave master. T.I. wife former Xscape member responded to Azealia by asking her a question on Instagram.

All four members of G-Unit appears in new video

All memebers of G-Unit has come together for a new music video.  50 Cent, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo form the group G-Unit almost a decade ago. Since their debut album "Beg For Mercy" is has been difficult getting the four together at one time.  Less than a year after their first album was released Yayo was arrested in December 2002 for felony gun possession, he was granted parole in January 2004 but was arrested and sent back to prison for possession of a forge passport he was release in May 2004. Because of his absence Yayo did not appear in any of the videos for "Beg For Mercy".  Three months before G-Unit release their second album "Terminate On Sight" Young Buck was kick out of the group his verses and appearance on the subsequent videos were removed from the album singles. So until now Yayo and Buck has never appeared in a video together.  The video for G-Unit remix to HS87's "Grinding My Whole Life" for "Nah I'm Talking Bout" was release on June 17th and it features all four members of the group.

Jay Z release 40/40 drink in Duane Reade and Walgreens stores in the United States

Jay Z 40/40 drink which is named after his nightclub will be sold in Duane Reade and Walgreens stores throughout the US. The drink retail fro $1.99 is described as "Arnold Palmer-esque drink" that is "intended for sports-loving males".  The drink also include an augmented reality tie-in that allows customers to point a smartphone at the container and call up a content platform connected to each act. The drink is being distributed by
Go N'Syde which was launched by former Def Jam Recording executive Kevin Liles.  Liles said "We have a great tasting beverage."

On August 14, 2015 an biopic film NWA: Straight Out Of Compton will be released. 25 year ago Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy E of "NWA" started a gangster rap movement and now there is going to be a film to us how it all begin. After nearly five year of planning the cast has finally been confirmed. Ice Cube wanted his son Oshea Jackson Jr. to play his part, Marcus Callendar will play Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell will play Eazy E. Jason Mitchell is the only actor with film experience he has appeared in four different film, "Contraband" was his biggest role.

Rapper Eve get married in Spain

On Saturday Eve married longtime beau Maximillion Cooper, Gumball 3000 car race co-founder.  Eve, 35, met English born entrepreneur Cooper in 2010 when she participated in a Gumball 3000 international rally.   Cooper said "I am so happy to make Eve my wife" "The whole experience has been amazing and we are both happy to have tied the knot."  This is Eve first marriage and and second for Cooper who has four children with his ex-wife Gumball 3000 co-founder Julie Brangstrup.

Kanye West return to Tennessee Festival “Bonnaroo”

Kanye last performance at the "Bonnaroo" was in 2008 and the crowd was upset with Kanye because he showed hours late around 4:30 am for his performance.  Kanye blamed the festival organizers and the group Pearl Jam for running long with their preceding performance. In 2014 the crowd still remember the 2008 performance.  At least a half dozen "South Park" signs were dotted throughout the crowd and all parodying the headline via the "Fishsticks" episode with on featuring a full size cut out of Ye and his animated Aqua man suit.  Graffiti variation of "F**k Kanye" began popping up in various places such as wall, barriers and port-a-potties.
The set was the same as his US tour and he still wore a face obscuring mask, both side of the stage deck in white sheets, with the back wall featuring a massive video screen that stretched from floor to ceiling. Kanye too still held a grudge from 2008, during the outro of "Heartless" Kanye started yelling "where the press at? F**k the press!" He continued touting his work ethic and his commitment to his craft.  Kanye said "he was feeling humble in a way that gave him strength" "What you see now is only the beginning"  Which eventually escalated to "I am the No 1 muthaf*king rock star on the planet.  After the outburst the crowd boos and it look like a mass exodus.

Jay Z appears in “Beats” ad

Jay Z and Dr. Dre has come together to film a new commercial for "Beats" by Dre.  Jay add his vocals to "The Game Before Game" campaign. The ad which is 70 seconds long celebrates the World Cup being hosted in Brazil and feature the song "Jungle Remix" by X Ambassador and Jamie N. Commons and a guest appearance by Jigga.  The track can be downloaded at beatsmusic.com

Love & Hip Hop star Steve J is out on bond

Reality star Stevie J has been released from Georgia Fulton County Jail after posting bond. Stevie was arrested earlier this week because he allegedly owes $1 million in child support to his ex girlfriend and mother of two of his children Carol Bennett. In 1999 Stevie was order to pay $6,600 a month and in 2011 it was raise to $8,600 a month, although he repeatedly missed payments his lawyer said Stevie does not owe anything close to 1 million.  The star make just under $200,000 for appearing on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, he also receive income from music royalties.  He has produce music for Jay Z, LL Cool J, Mariah Carey and others. After being released Stevie said "It feels great I'm home with my wife (LHHATL star Joseline Hernandez)" I'm just ready to get this behind me."
