Rapper Nas has a new documentary called "Hidden Colors 3: The Rules of Racism".  In the documentary Nas emphasized the importance of history.  He said "To know your history is everything," Nas says. "No matter who you are, especially Black, because you're constantly being told that you were nothing but a slave. No one began as a slave. That's not what God put you here for."   The rapper has a single called "I Can" on the single he addressed the idea of Slavery and education.  He raps "If the truth is told, the youth can grow," Nas raps on the track. "They learn to survive until they gain control / Nobody says you have to be gangstas, hoes / Read more, learn more, change the globe."

Aaliyah cousin Jomo disapprove of the upcoming Lifetime network television dramatization of the singer.  He does not think television is the right platform, he said "Aaliyah was a legend, she was an hugely influential artist of our culture. I think she deserves the treatment of a 'Walk The Line' or a 'Whats Love Got To Do With It' a big major movie." He said Lifetime never came to them about creating a movie.  He and the family will try to produce a film representing the singer in the way they see fit.  Zendaya Coleman has been cast as Aaliyah, there is no set date for the film.  Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001 along with seven other people.

Earlier this year Kanye West was order to perfom 250 hours of community service (to avoid jail time) because of an altercation with the paparazzi.  He is doing his community service at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.  While at the school Kanye the guy who loves clothes spoke about his experience in fshion. During another one of his visit he spoke at the school for three hours and was based on designer.   Kanye spoke a Harvard University back in November 2013.  He talked about his admiration for their  work and his belief regarding design. He said "I really do believe that the world can be saved through design and everything needs to actually be architected," West said at the time. "And this is the reason why even some of the first DONDA employees were architects that started designing T-shirts instead of buildings."

Reality star Stevie J was released from jail on June 23rd after posting a $25,000 bond. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star was arrested for allegedly owing $1 million in child support which his lawyer say is not true. The star allegedly tested tested postive for cocaine and marijuana before his release from jail, so he been order to attend a pretrial drug treatment. Stevie J best friend Benzino girlfriend Althea Heart (cast memebers) recently reveal that she slept with Stevie J while he was dating Mimi Faust

Rick Ross said he did not perform at Summer Jamz 17 in Detriot because he never made it to the venue.  Ross said "The team head over to the gig, so my team is always in front of me.  Just to make it clear, I never even made it to the venue."  "Me and whoever this gentleman is we never crossed paths.  He never spoke to Rozay, and I expect him to clarify that ."  When Ross caravan arrive at the venue someone had locked the gate to the venue someone was apparently talking to the police that was there Ross said it was very peaceful for my team that made it there.  While his team was at the venue Ross went to a local casino and that is when he heard there was supposedly a gang outside Chene Park wainting him.  He think the statement about the gang was totally false Ross said " I let that breath for a whole day just expecting somebody to step un and say that not true.  No one spoke to MMG."

Ross story is different from the story that  Jay Hicks, Hot 107.5 program director has told.  He said Ross was met by 100 people outside and he was in fear of his life.

Paris Brown who is a fan of Migos was hit by a stray bullet that lead to her death and Migos member Kiar Cephus is being questioned by the police.    Although the police question him about the murder he was not helpful, police said they know he was there however he will not cooperate. Police believe the Kiara was the inteded target of June 11 shooting outside of Quality Inn.  Cory Marzette has been identified as the shooter  he is  also affliliated with rap group 2G who police believe is behind the shooting.  There is an on going  rivalry between rap group 2G and Migos.

Rapper Rick Ross was scheduled to headline HOT 107 Summer Jamz 17 at Chene Park in Detroit  but was not allowed to perform.  Just before the rapper was to go onstage an announcement was made that he will not be performing.  Apparently as the Mastermind rapper was trying to enter the venue he was stopped by 100 individual.    Reports says Goon Sqwad member Trick Trick has placed Rick in the "No Fly Zone" meaning that the rapper cannot enter Detriot without Trick Trick aka "The Mayor of Detroit" approval.  Program director Jay Hicks said Ross may never come back to Detroit.  He is in fear of his life.

Rapper Schoolboy Q and his entourage were fired upon aftert performing at a benefit concert that also feature Nas and Flying Lotus.  At round 10:30pm someone emerge from the bushes outside the Colorado Red Rock Amphitheatre and fired several rounds at the white SUV that carried Schoolboy and three other passenger. Schoolboy was not injured but his three passengers where treated at Denver Health Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.  Schoolboy was arrested and held for questioning following the incident.  Police do not think the shooting was a random act of violence.  No other arrest have been made, investigator still trying to find a motive in the shooting.

Lil Durk beef with Tyga started when the two were recording together in Los Angeles.  Durk said Tyga became upset at something and that when the feud began.  The two rappers began dissing each other on tracks.  Durk dissed Tyga on Meek Mill "Chiraq Freestyle" and Tyga responded with "Chiraq to La" which feature Game. It is said that Tyga allegedly paid Game to appear on the response track. In a recent interview Durk said that he would like to get a Tiffney Cambridge who was once engaged to Game.  Lil Durk says his answers to the beef with Tyga will come on his upcoming mixtape "Signed to the Streets 2."

In order to make sure DMX pay his child support his living wages  has been garnished by the state of New York.  The rapper wife Tashera Simmons will get $15,000 a month  from DMX checks from Universal Music Publishing.  Document revealed that $10,000 will specifically go to the four kids the couple has together and $5,000 to unspecific support.
