Kanye West is to release a new album

Rapper Kanye West is reportedly going to release a 3 hour spoken word album. The rapper has strong views on everything from music and art to politics and the environment. He will also mention his fiancee Kim Kardashian and his daughter Northwest. Kanye likes to push the boundaries, he hopes to win a Grammy for Best Spoken Word album. A source says Kanye might release 24 hours of speeches for download. If he do, he will be taking a page out of Pharrell Williams book. Pharrell posted a 24 hour music video for his 2013 single "Happy". Word is Kanye next solo album will have a different sound than Yeezus. He want a sound a little bit like Otis Redding and a little bit like Mobb Deep.

Meek Mills is set to testify against Philly Cops

Rapper Meek is set to take the stand next week in a case where he is suing the city of Philadelphia and members of the police department for what he says was an unnecessary detention in 2012.  Meek who is from Phlly was detained by police after his car was stopped on Halloween night that year.  The officers stopped the rapper because they smelled weed coming from his car. The officer wanted to search the vehicle but Meeks would not allow them too he told them they are going to have to called the dogs.  The officers did call in the drug sniffer dog which did from the presence of drugs.  During his 9 hours in custody Meek miss scheduled events and he lost a deal worth $1.3 milllion with Puma because of negative press.  Andre Boyer and Alvin Outlaw are the two officers named in the suit.  Boyer has since been fired after a Police Board inquiry found that he had committed several violation surrounding a seized and he also had numerous civilian complaints.  Officer Victoria Ayres is accused of mocking Meek situation on Instragram.  Meek lawyer said the officer posted a picture on social media site with the caption "Talk about Dreams and nightmares,(album title) Meek is sitting in hand cuffs courtesy of the 22nd District I'm rollin! Maybe he'll sign our copies".  Meek is seeking compensation for anxiety, embarrassment and unlawful stop.

Rapper Rick Ross is facing a lawsuit

Jeison Sota and Edward Soto two men from the Bronx is suing Rick Ross for injuries they allegedly sustained at Ross birthday party in 2011 at the Umbrella Lounge.  The men blame Ross for a fight that broke out that led to multiple injuries. The two men have sued the Umbrella Lounge then the lounge sued Ross on the grounds the locale provided enough security to end the violence but Ross and his crew continued the fight outside the club leading to the men injuries.

50 Cent is being sued for $11 Million

Video vivex Sally Ferreira has filed a $11 million defamation lawsuit against 50 Cent.  Sally claim the rapper had blacklisted her from the video industry.  50 had posted on instragram "do not attempt to work with this thisty video b**** (her name is Sally Ferreira and she a model)". Sally claims the the media posting lead to her not being able to book work, public ridicule, and emotional distress.   Before the social media posting Sally was working on three entertainment industry projects after the posting the projects were put on hold.  Sally who has been in a commited relationship with her fiancee for 9 years says 50 is also spreading rumor that he was dating her.

DJ EZ Rock passes away

Rob Base had posted on Facebook that his rap partner and friend since the 4th grade DJ EZ Rock has died.  The rap duo was best known for their 1988 single and album title "It Takes Two" which went certified platinum.  Rob Base released a solo album after "It Takes Two", In 1994 the duo reunited and release album title "Break Of Dawn".  DJ EZ Rock cause of death is not know at this time.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling doesn't want his mixed (Black & Mexican) girlfriend, not his wife she is probably at home but girlfriend to post pictures with black folks on instagram or bring them to his game thats all he ask of her. Not even the famous magic johnson is good enough to be seen with his girlfriend, and Donald consider him a friend, i guess they should re-think that friendship.  Magic Johnson said he will not attend a Clippers game as long as Donald Sterling Own this team. Rapper Meek Mill said Donald sterling is the definition of racism .... He could b your judge.... Your doctor.....you teacher etc... I bet nothing happens 2 him!

Tyga was visited by the wild life cops, there probably the last authority figure you would think would be knocking at your door but when you are housing a exotic animal anything could happen. California Wildlife officers received a tip last week that rapper Tyga was in illegal  possession of a 7 month old tiger in Ventura County.  After complaints from neighbors Tyga placed his cat in a Animal shelter, but still could be brought up on criminal charges.

Sonya Miller wants $67 million from Master P

Sonya Miller has filed court documents requesting $67 million in assests from her estranged husband rap mogul Master P (Percy Miller).  She wants $54 million from his "No Limit Record" empire which is worth about $136 million.  And from his "Make 'Em Say Ughh! energy drink company she wants $10 million.  What she really wants is 40% of Master P family fortune which includes real estate properties, cars and other items.  Master P is believe to worth over $178 million.

Lil Boosie is glad Lean is going away

Rapper Lil Boosie says he is glad that Lean is going away because it almost cost him his life 3 or 4 times. The ex addict says users do not realize something that tastes like kool-aid can be so addictive.  When you are on it it's hard to get off damn near impossible. He says Lean f***ked a lot of rappers and the culture of hip hop.  Lil Boosie has spend 5 years in jail because of  drug conviction including trying to smuggle codeine syrup into prison. Actavis is stoping production of its high-end cough syrup because it is being widely abused to make Lean, also know a Sizzurp.

Kanye West album “Yeezus” doesn’t fell like Hip Hop to 50 Cent

When 50 was asked what he think about Kanye lastes album "Yeezus" he said "the s**t is weird to me", am not even playing it right now am still playing song off Kanye "College Dropout" album.  50 says "Kanye is a talent within our culture and is one of the driving forces of it but some of the new stuff is so creative it feels like he is trying to create a whole new sound".  His music does not feel like Hip Hop, it feel like a wierd combination of dance music sound and stuff.  50 also mention he do not have a favorite artist he has a favorite moment from artist.

Toronto Rapper Drake has partnership with Toronto Raptors

Rapper Drake  was born and raised in Toronto, Canada he loves the city more than anything in the world and he would do anything to support the city. So when the opportunity to team up with the NBA team Toronto Raptor he was all for it.  He became the team global ambassador.  The rapper was worried about his fans reaction to the news because he feels sports fans differ from music fans. Sport is a different type of appreciation and when people from other genres start coming in you do not know how it going to go still Drake felt the union made sense.  The rapper/singer/actor/now host will take the stage at the 2014 ESPY to hand out award for Excellence in Sports Performance.  Drake will serve as host business partner and consultant to the Toronto Raptors beginning with the 2014-2015 season.

New York City Cops is being sued for violating First Amendment rights of Rappers

There is a lot of vendors who sells products in Time Square without being hassled by the cops except for a group of 8 rappers.  8 rappers who sell their music CD in New York Time Square has brought a law suit against New York City cops for violating their rights with bogus arrest.  The group file the joint lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court against the city and 17 cops.  Andre Jackson a rapper from Soundview section of the Bronx said " they don't want us making money out here, I've been arrested over 30 times".  The number of arrest have been confirmed by the NYPD.  Another rapper said we are having fun out here, we are doing something we're are allowed to do.  The group have been charged with disorderly conduct and aggressive begging.  The group claims the allegations are bogus and their cases are ultimately dismissed.  The group say selling their music is protected by the First Amendment Right. One of the rappers said the police never arrest the spray-paint guy, they never arrest the guy who draws pictures.

Questlove say hip hop has taken over black music even though there is not many hip hop performers at the top of the charts.  You will see Jay Z, Kanye West, Drake and new comer Kendrick Lamar and that is about it.  On the women side you have pop artist Beyonce and Rihanna who has been label hip hop because of their association with hip hop artist.  In the 80's you could count the number of black artist there weren't hip hop on two hands.  Artist like Michael Jackson, Prince, Tracy Chapman, Living Colour and Lionel Richie.  In 1989 hip hop was very present their was De La Soul, Geto Boys, EPMD, Ice T, Boogie Down Production and Queen Latifah. Hip Hop has become an entire culture movement any fashion put forth by black people is considered hip hop. Do hip hop fashion refers to clothes popularize by hip hop artist(?)then there is nonsense: hip hop food, hip hop politics, hip hop intellectual and hip hop architecture.  Quest has one fear with this development is that individual who wish to eradicate the Black culture would need only to squelch one genre to effectively silence and entire culture.

Lil Scappy ex girlfriend Diamond claim that he physically abused her and his mother has stole Louis Vuitton purses from her and ruin her credit by trashing a condo that Diamond helped her buy.  Lil Scappy says she is lying through her $20,000 teeth that he paid for, he never put a hand on her she just trying to make herself relevant by throwing shade even though he gave her a start in music.  His mom also state that she never got anything of value from Diamond because Diamond ain't never had s**t.  Mom also said "Diamond is mad because she is not banging the prince anymore.  Diamond will never have any money unless she get a douche deal for her stank-ass p****".
