Rapper Ryan Lewis Mom is HIV positive

Rapper Ryan Lewis mom was diagnosed with HIV in the 1980's. The rapper and his mom have a launch a new campaign this week to commemorate he 30th year victory over HIV and 30th year discovery that HIV lead to Aids. With the campaign they want to bring health care facilities to areas that needs them the most. They want to create facilities that will be around for decades. The first center is set to be built in Malawi. Ryan musical partner Macklemore is also involved in the campaign.

There is an alleged extortion plot involving Jay Z master recording

Chauncey Mahan a music producer who use to work with Jay Z is under investigation for extortion plot against the rap mogul. Jay Z legally owns all of his master recordings, but Chauncey has in his possession master recording tapes of Jay from 1998-2002. The tapes in question went missing in 2002 they are tracks he recorded for Roc-A-Fella Records. Chauncey contacted Live Nation requesting $100,000 for storage fee. Chauncey has had the tapes for over a decade he has them stored in a NOrthridge, California storage facility. Live Nation arrange a meeting with Mahan then notified the Los Angeles Police Department of Mahan intention. Mahan was taken in for questioning and but has not been arrested. The master tapes were taken away for safe keeping until ownership can be determine. In 2002 Live Nation filed a grand larceny complaint against Mahan once they discovered the recording went missing.

Teenager shot over Nike Air Foamposite Pro Yeezys

Customers lined up outside of a Brooklyn Foot Locker store on Saturday so they can purchase a pair of Nike Air Foamposite Pro Yeezys. Isaiah Martinez, 15, tried to cut into the waiting line and customer told the teen to go to the back of the line which he choose not to do. Isaiah then got into a verbal exchange with customers he was trying to cut in line. The situation turned violent when one of the people he cut left and came back with a gun. Isaiah was shot in the foot by a 14 year old he tried to cut in front of. He was taken to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injury. The suspect was taken to jail where is facing assault and weapons charges.

Rapper Macklemore has a shoe deal with Jordan Brand

Seattle rapper Mackelmore is the lastest rapper to team up with the Jordan Brand. Jordan Brand will have a special editon sneaker called Northwest King Salmon Jordan Melo M10. Mackelmore had posted this message on his Instagram page over the weekend

Chance The Rapper cancell Coachella Set

Chance The Rapper had gotten ill on Friday night and was admitted to the hospital. His family and doctors are with him and he is expected to make a full recovery. The nature of his illness was not revealed. Chance The Rapper had to cancelled his 2nd weekend at Coachella. Chancelor Bennett hip hop recording artist from Chicago, Illinois. In 2013, he began to gain major recognition following the release of his first two mixtapes.

Suge Knight claims Biggie got the idea for “Get Money” from Tupac “Hit Em Up”

Suge said that Faith Evans Biggie wife at the time attend a studio session with Misa Hylton (mother of Diddy child)when she heard the original version of "Hit Em Up". Suge believes it was Faith who leak information to Biggie and Combs. He thinks Faith told Biggie that Pac was doing the track and putting lyrics to it. Suge also allege that Pac believe that Hylton had leak the information to Combs and Biggie. Pac released "Hit Em Up" in 1996, the diss records was inspired by Pac belief that Biggie and Combs set up the shooting of Pac at Quad Recording Studio in 1994. Junior Mafia release "Get Money" in 1995. Suge said when Pac heard "Get Money" on the radio, he called me and was going crazy. Suge said "Hit Em Up" was an entirely different song, but became a diss song after Junior Mafia hurried up and release "Get Money" 7 months before Pac finish the "Hit Em Up" track.

Brand Nubian Lord Jamar Hip Hop comments is being defended by Ice T

Last year Lord Jamar had criticized white rapper Macklemore. Jamar went on to share his belief that white rappers are guest in the house of Hip Hop. Jamar also said, "Just because you have a hit record doesn’t give you the right as I feel to voice your opinion. White rappers, those of y’all who really studied the culture, that truly love Hip Hop and all that, keep it real with yourself, you know this is a black man’s thing. We started this. This is our shit. We’ve allowed you, those of you who’ve proved your skill and all that, we’ve allowed you to come in and kick your shit, make yourself known. You know what I mean? And if you have enough respect for the culture we fuck with you. But don’t push it too far". Rapper turned actor Ice T was asked how he felt about Lord Jamar comments of Hip Hop being a form of black music. Ice agreed with Jamar saying Hip Hop is black music but anyone can contribute to Hip Hop as long as they respect the culture. People hold culture very close to them so you do not want someone to come in and disrespect your culture. Ice said "Lord Jamar was one of the first people in the art of rap. Lord Jamar is gonna have always a pro black way of going at things". Ice claims he put one of the first white kids in the game.

The Estate of the late Jazz musician Jimmy Smith is suing Drake

Rapper Drake is being sued by the estate of the late Jazz artist Jimmy Smith. The rapper and others is being sued for $300,000 for for illegal use of copyright material. The rapper use a sample track from "Jimmy Smith Rap". The sample track is featured on the song "Pound Cake" a track from Drake 3rd album "Nothing Was The Same". Jay Z is also featured on the track.

In a recent radio interview rapper 50 release another verbal assault on rapper Diddy. 50 said he is keeping it real when he said Diddy new single "Big Homie" s**t is garbage. 50 went on and compared Diddy to Jay Z. Wu Tang Killa Bees Member In Stable Condition After Severing Penis and diving from second floor

Wu-Tang affiliated rapper Andre Johnson is just plain Andre now because he cut his Johnson off and dove from the second floor and is in stable condition. He was with other rappers and they said this inncodent is not drug related, doctors at a Cedars-Sinai Medical Center were unable to reattach Johnson's penis, Johnson worked with The Wu Tang Killa Bees. The group released The Swarm in 1998.

Mc Hammer still owes the IRS $1.4 million

Rapper Mc Hammer is best known for his 1990 album "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt Em, his dancing and balloon looking pants. He is also known for his financial trouble. In 1996 the rapper from Oakland filed for bankruptcy, in 2007 he paid a debt to the IRS in the amount of $1.4 million. In 2013 a report showed that Hammer still owe the IRS $798,033 in back taxes. Uncle Sam is again seeking another payment of $1.4 million from Hammer for penalties and interest on the 1996 delinquency. Hammer is filing documents asking a judge to stop the IRS from collecting more money from him.

Suge Knight talks about the comment he made about Game and Kendrick Lamar

Suge Knight appeared on his friend Arsenio Hall show were he explained the comments he made about Game and Kendrick Lamar record deal with Interscope Records. Suge said he was not putting Game and Lamar down he was putting the company down saying "why is you treating my people like slaves?" Suge believes the person who is dictating what going on at Interscope is Jimmy Lovine. Game who is from Compton is the best artist at Interscope and Lamar who is also from Compton is the best artist today, why do they have the worst record deal at Interscope(?). Before Game get paid Universal gets their money, Interscope get their money, Aftermath get their money, G-Unit get their money and then there's Game. There is not that much money in the pot. Before Lamar gets paid there is Interscope, Aftermath, Top Dawg production and then Lamar. Suge said "if they do a show [and] $100,000 comes in, the manager of those guys get 20%. Now it’s eighty grand. Kendrick get half, the record company get half. Which is ridiculous because the artist should be able to live off their tours. If you can’t live off your tour money, how can you survive by being a slave? "How is you fucking over these dudes from Compton when they making the difference for your company?”

Flavor Flav plead guilty in domestic violence charge

On April 14, Flavor Flav pleaded guilty to a Las Vegas domestic violence charge. The 55 year old rapper pleaded guilty to reduce charges from felony assault to misdemeanor charge of attempted battery in connection to an incident that took place in October 2012 between the rapper and his girlfriend 17 year old son. Flav allegedly threaten his girlfriend Liz Trujillo 17 year old son with a butcher knife. He is also being accused of throwing her around when she tried to protect her son. Flav next court date is August 18th.

50 cent release a music video for the song "Hustler" off his Animal Ambition album. The video is in black and white and it has a film vibe to it. The entire album will be released on June 3rd.
