Jamie Foxx Slams Kanye West’s Presidential Bid

Kanye West made headlines after he announced his plans to run for president in 2020.
But not everyone is here for it. Stephen Jackson is among those who has spoken out against Ye’s bid for the White House. The NBA star reposted a tweet from DJ Hed warning of the dangers of electing celebrities who have never held public office.
“If you wouldn’t hire a plumber to work on the electrical wiring in your house why would you vote this way?” asked Hed. “America’s obsession with fame / celebrity is the endgame.”
Along with his repost, Jackson brought up Kanye’s affiliation with the current President of the United States. “Kanye Trump. Fool u once shame on them fool u twice u and 2x fool. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforbreonnataylor and so many more,” he wrote, adding, “#ivehadenough of the clown shit.”

His message was liked by over 90,000 of his followers including Kanye’s “Gold Digger” collaborator Jamie Foxx, who was in agreement with Jackson. “Gottdamn right!!!” Foxx commented on the post. “Ain’t got time for the bullshit!!!”

However, friends including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, 2 Chainz, and Ty Dolla $ign were in support of Kanye’s run for office. “Ye for president,” tweeted Ty, while 2 Chainz added, “Shiiit I hated i voted early real talk.”

So my bad I can vote again !
— Tity Boi (2 Chainz) (@2chainz) July 5, 2020

On the Fourth of July, Kanye announced his presidential bid. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he tweeted. “I am running for president of the United States.”
Despite his intentions, it may be too late for him to enter the 2020 race against Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He has yet to register as a candidate to get on state election ballots and has already missed the deadline for states including Indiana, New York, and Texas.

T.I. Addresses Snitching Allegations

T.I. is clearing his name.
When he’s not challenging 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle, the Atlanta rapper is defending himself against snitching accusations after a video of him promoting Crime Stoppers resurfaced. In the decade-old clip, Tip encourages viewers to call the Crime Stoppers Atlanta hotline to get perpetrators off the streets.

While speaking with comedian K-Dubb on Instagram Live this week, Tip clapped back at those who accused him of being a snitch and working with the feds.
“F**k you and ya life, n***a. If you see a snitch, n***a, slap him when you see ’em. Knock his nose off,” he declared. “Next time I’m out, instead of asking for a picture, like a lil’ ho ass n***a. N***a come on and knock my nose out if you think I’m a snitch, n***a. N***a, c’mon, quit smilin’ in my face trying to get in my fu**in’ section.”

T.I. was arrested in October 2007 on firearms charges when he allegedly tried to purchase guns from a cooperating witness. He later pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges, and served a year in prison. Back in December, Blueface’s manager Wack 100 accused Tip of cooperating with authorities in order to receive a lighter sentence.
But Tip denied that he had any involvement with the feds. “I never gave no mothafu**in’ information to get nobody in no mothafu**in’ trouble naan time with no police. If I am working with a police, it’ll be to get him to shoot you, ni**a,” he said, adding, “Don’t play with me.”
Tip made headlines this week when he challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle. “Pull on up, 50. Bring your ass on outside, Fif. Bring your hit records with you,” he told the G-Unit boss. “You and Dr. Dre and Eminem and all y’all, G-Unit, y’all bring your ass on out. Come on and see the King.”

Adele Enlists John Legend, Raphael Saadiq for New Album

Adele is “pouring her heart and soul” into her upcoming album.
The pop icon has reportedly enlisted R&B powerhouses John Legend and Raphael Saadiq for her highly-anticipated fourth album, which is said to have a more “eclectic” sound.
“Adele is pouring her heart and soul into this record, including how she feels post-divorce,” an insider told The Sun.
The Grammy-winning songstress, who split from her husband Simon Konecki last year, has been a longtime fan of Saadiq and hired him to “oversee” the album. The legendary singer-songwriter-producer has worked with Whitney Houston, Solange, and Mary J. Blige, and most recently executive produced John Legend’s new album Bigger Love.
“She’s been a fan of Raphael since she was a teenager and loves his back catalogue,” adds the source. “She wants her next album to be full of soul, with a more eclectic sound.”
Adele and Legend are also reportedly planning a collaboration and have already laid down some initial tracks in the studio.
The long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s 25 was originally due in September, but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. “It isn’t coming in September, it’ll be ready when it’s ready,” said Adele’s manager Jonathan Dickins. “I can’t put a date on that yet. We have music, but we’re still working.”
Adele recently addressed the delay when asked by a fan on Instagram if the album was dropping today. “Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient,” she responded.

Ty Dolla $ign Hints at Drake Collaboration

Ty Dolla $ign and Drake may have new music in the works.
In an interview with Power 106, the “Ego Death” singer opened up about a potential collaboration on Drake’s upcoming album.
While Ty admitted that he and the 6 God have been in contact, he stopped short of revealing details. “I’ve been sending him new records too for the new album,” he said. “I ain’t gonna say too much, man, but shout out to Drake.”
The two previously collaborated on “After Dark” and “Jaded” for 2018’s Scorpion. “I love Drake. He’s always been the greatest since he came out and I always wanted to work with him,” said Ty, “so on Scorpion, I think I had been hitting him before to do a song and then when he was working on this album, he hit me up. He was like, ‘Yo, I got some joints.'”

Drake is readying his sixth studio album for release this summer and is reportedly “80 percent” done with the project, which may feature a collaboration with Roddy Ricch. Over the weekend, three new Drake tracks leaked including “Lie to Me,” “Greece,” and “In the Cut” featuring Roddy.
Ty is also readying his own album Dream House and recently dropped his new single “Ego Death” featuring Kanye West, FKA twigs, and Skrillex.
“My new album is done and it’s coming very soon,” Ty said of the follow-up to 2017’s Beach House 3. “Shout to my fans for being patient while I made sure it was perfect, it’s worth the wait…it’s my best work yet.”
