Future, Metro Boomin & The Weeknd Share ‘Young Metro’ Music Video: Watch

Future and Metro Boomin have shared the official music video for ‘Young Metro’ with The Weeknd.

It’s one of the best performing tracks on the duo’s new album We Don’t Trust You, along with ‘Like That’ featuring Kendrick Lamar which has made obvious noise on social media because of its explosive content.

We Don’t Trust You officially became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 on release day, with 6 songs from the album occupying the entire top 6, including “Like That” at #1. The album is projected to move around 200k copies in the first week.

Future & Metro Boomin ‘We Don’t Trust You’ First Week Sales Projections

Future and Metro Boomin’s new album We Don’t Trust You has no doubt been talk of the town.

That is partially due to a scathing verse that Kendrick Lamar delivers on track 6 ‘Like That’ where he takes shots at Drake and J. Cole, saying there’s no big 3 and that he’s the only big one. Since then, social media has been discussing and deciphering the verse like no tomorrow.

The song has a strong chance of debuting inside top 3 of Hot 100 next week but how’s the album doing overall? HDD reports that We Don’t Trust You is projected to move 190-220k copies in the first week which will be more than enough for a number 1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart.

Spotify also announced that the album became the platform’s most streamed album in a single day in 2024.

Kendrick Takes Shots at Drake & J. Cole on ‘Like That’ from Future & Metro Boomin’s New Album

Future and Metro Boomin released their anticiapted new album We Don’t Trust You tonight.

One song that is getting the most reaction is ‘Like That’ which features Kendrick Lamar. Fans had been expecting some kind of shots to be fired on the album ever since reports of a beef between Metro Boomin and Drake surfaced a few months ago.

However, something unexpected happened during the song ‘Like That’ as K. Dot decided to throw jabs at Drake and J. Cole, saying that there’s no “big 3” out there as he’s bigger than both of them. He also lays a reference to Drake’s album For All The Dogs.

“Motherfuck the big three, nigga, it’s just big me
Nigga, bum, what? I’m really like that
And you best work is a light pack
Nigga, Prince outlive Mike Jack’
Nigga, bum, ‘fore all your dawgs gettin’ buried
That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary
Nigga, bum”

Joyner Lucas Finally Releases New Album ‘Not Now I’m Busy’: Listen

Joyner Lucas’ sophomore album hasn’t had the smoothest release. The rapper was consistently releasing singles for the LP which were getting a decent enough reception, but supposed release dates were shaky and would come and go without the album coming out.

Tonight though, that all changes. Last week, we got the last single from the album, ‘Best for Me‘ with Jelly Roll which was about addiction and substance abuse.

Not Now I’m Busy is out now, with additional features from Twista, NBA YoungBoy, Logic, Conway The Machine, the late legend DMX and more. You can hear it below on the streaming service of your choice.

Tyla Releases Self Titled Debut Album: Stream

Tyla has taken the music world by storm ever since her song ‘Water’ started to gain popularity.

The South African has been clear about what she intends her music to sound like. “I knew I wanted my sound to be a mixture of pop, R&B, Afrobeats, amapiano,” she told Time magazine last year. The young singer announced her debut album months ago and had it on pre-order much in advance so she could build it up properly.

The music video for ‘Water’, which amassed close to 150 million views in just a few months, gave birth to the #TylaWaterChallenge. Tyla says the moves that captured the internet’s attention are actually “a dance style in South Africa,” and not twerking, as some assumed.

The 14 song album has guest appearances from Travis Scott (on the official ‘Water’ remix), Gunna, Tems and more. Stream it below.
