Last night Funkmaster Flex said he had a diss track from Meek Mill directed at Drake and wanted everyone to tune into Hot97 to hear it. So many people tuned in Hot 97 was trending on twitter for several hours but no diss ever came just the same 9 songs over and over for hours. This set people off and people began bashing the DJ and the radio station all over social media for misleading the hip-hop community for ratings. This lead to an actual petition being made on Change.org for Flex to step down from his position at the radio station. There has always been word that DJ Funk Funkmaster Flex was not someone who was willing to give up his position at Hot 97 for his slot. Despite constant critiques from everywhere for the old man to step down, and give the younger people a shot he decided to stay where he was. Last year Dame Dash was at the forefront of the movement saying that Funk Flex really needs to just leave. Well, today was the last straw. This fraud of a DJ decided to lie to everyone for ratings and downloads of the Hot 97 app that Meek Mill would be on tonight to release a diss track to Drake to no avail. No one has given Hot 97 two hours of listening time since Biggie was alive, and it’s a crime to have taken that from us. The people have spoken and it is time for Funk Flex to step down.” The petition said and as of right now the petition stands at 8,000 signatures. Now this more then likely wont effect Flex’s position at the station but it does reflect poorly on him and people will not forget this or ever tune in again.

Fetty Wap has been a very popular artist on the radio for a long while now with his chart toppers “Trap Queen” and “My Way” staying at No. 6 and No. 7 respectively. This has made Fetty the first male rap artist since Lil Wayne to do this with his songs “She Will” and “How To Love”. His hit song “Trap Queen” has been in the Top 100 for 27 weeks now. Plus Fetty has another song “679” that is at No. 18 which gives him three tracks in the top 20 which hasn’t happened since Eminem with his songs “The Monster” , “Rap God”, and “Berzerk” so Fetty is in a pretty good place right now with his very catchy style.

Shy Glizzy has been arrested in Maryland and footage of the arrest is now all over the internet. There are hardly any details on the reasoning for the arrest but in the clip you see Glizzy on the cop car with several cops around with large crowd of people around watching. There is a report that he is being charged with “disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing an officer”. Glizzy has already posted bail but keep it right here for any updates on his situation.

David Banner wants $100,000 from Young Money filing a lawsuit today saying he was promised a whopping $137,787 in royalties back in 2012. The tracks mentioned are Waynes tracks “La La” and “Pussy Monster”. Banner also says he wants $15,000 for the song “Streets Is Watching” off of the We Are Young Money album. Lawsuits are all around in the rap game these days which is kind of sad but people should get the money they are promised.

Tyler The Creator is used to being banned from venues because he and his crew can get pretty wild during shows and just in general. But now Tyler has announced via Twitter that he has been banned from all of Australia. Tyler was supposed to perform in four different Australian cities in September but a feminist group started a petition to get the rapper banned in the country and it apparently worked.

Ice- T and Coco have been married for 14 years and are about to have their very first child together. Coco took to twitter to announce that she has actually been pregnant for a while with the announcement first being made on Coco’s new talk show last week that is set to air on August 3^rd. “It was a really awesome moment. I cried, It was a nice feeling to know that the world knows and I don’t have to hide it.” Coco said to her studio audience. Ice-T took to twitter to share his excitement with all of his fans “We want to say ThankYou to everyone for the overwhelming LOVE you are sending us! We appreciate you.”

 

Meek was opening for Nicki at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday and shared some words with the audience about his feelings towards Drake. “I was doing my album. And I asked the nigga to give me a verse for my album, the nigga gave me a verse for my album. But he gave me a verse that he didn’t write that another nigga wrote. Where I come from, I represent the motherfucking game. I represent the motherfucking streets. If you ain’t with me, you ain’t gotta act like you with me, I got the motherfucking streets with me for life!” Meek Mill doesn’t seem like he is going to back down even after Drakes warning in his latest song “Charged Up” so this can get real interesting real quick. Snoop Dogg was says he will not be returning to Sweden after the experience he just received on his latest trip. Snoop was pulled over by Swedish police and taken into custody and was drug tested with the reports saying that Snoop came out of the test clean Snoop made sure to take to instagram to speak his mind and saying the Swedish police were racial profiling him. “2 all my sweden fans U can blame YA police dept for never seeing me again in your beautiful country its allways a few dicks that fuck it up for everybody its been real thank u Jah bless. !! Fuck the police. ?????. And I’m still smokin,” Snoop wrote.

Daughter of the legendary Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina Brown has passed away today at just 22 years of age. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” was said in a statement by the Houston family. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.” On January 31^st Bobbi was found unresponsive while in a bathtub in her Atlanta home. What lead to this horrible situation is still unknown but she was placed in a medically induced coma.

Chief Keef had postponed his hologram concert that he was putting on for the family of the victims of the drive by shooting. The performances ended up being at Crazefest in Hammond, Indiana with other artist like Riff Raff, Lil Bibby, and Tink. Keef was coming from a good place but he had only got to perform one song before the cops shut it down. Keef tried throwing the cops off his trail by tweeting out the wrong location but they still managed to show up.

Ever since Meek Came out on twitter saying Drake had his songs Ghostwritten by a rapper named Quentin Miller everyone waited for some kind of response. Today we got just the response we needed with Quentin Miller the alleged Ghostwriter taking to Tumblr posting that he does not ghostwrite for Drake. Two artist in exact opposite spaces in their career.. We came together and made something special..

I am not and never will be a “ghostwriter” for drake.. Im proud to say that we’ve collaborated .. but i could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together ..

Police documents as we all know have linked both Birdman and Young Thug to the shooting at Lil Waynes tour bus a while back on April 26^th. Police think that the suspect had called Birdman’s cellphone just after the situation. TMZ was contacted by someone close to Birdman who says that the person who called him was someone in Waynes group who was complaining about the suspect(Jimmy Winfrey) for heckling Wayne while in the club. Police don’t know who was actually on the phone because all of the phones used were owned by Birdman. Keep it here for any further updates on this ongoing situation.

 

Showing up to Good Morning America today Nicki Minaj sat down for an interview talking about her snubs on VMA noms and her short twitter beef with Taylor Swift. “I spoke to Taylor Swift yesterday on the phone, she was super, super sweet and she apologized. She said, ‘you know, look, I didn’t understand the big picture of what you were saying, but now I get it.’ So we’re all good.” Nicki said in the interview but she is still not happy with MTV saying that they only glorify woman with one body type.

On Thursday Bobby Shmurda had pleaded not guilty to his charges of promoting prison contraband. These charges stem from his girlfriend visiting him in prison on June 21^st and passing him a shank which was found. The girlfriend actually plead guilty to her charges but Bobby is still pleading not guilty and with his next hearing in October he could face up to 7 years in prison if convicted.

During a concert in Bristow, VA during Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint tour Meek Mill actually apologized to Nicki for going on his huge twitter rant. “I wanna give a special apology shout-out to Nicki Minaj for my crazy ass going crazy on Twitter, you can’t be messin’ with no hood nigga.” Meek also took the time to partly apologize to Drake in his own weird way saying “I was just upset as a fan. Shout out to Drake. Let him be great at all the motherfuckin’ things he great at. But I’m gon’ still be the realest nigga in this bitch.”
