Most teens think a chaperone at prom from mom dad or uncle is not cool at all! but Jalaah Moore doesn’t feel that way about her cousin who stepped up for the challenge and paid for everything.  Jalaah cousin happen to be rap artist Drizzy Drake who flew into Memphis to do his lil cousin a solid, Drake bought the two matching outfits and ordered them a white Rolls Royce to drive them to prom, Drake also hit up the dance at Fairley High School. Jalaah scored major points with her friends and left everyone starstruck at the prom then threw Jalaah a party at Hard Rock for about 400 of her suddenly super-close friends, Drake gave Jalaah a ballers experience.

Travis Scott was arrested after a concert in Arkansas, the rapper incited a riot at his concert when he encouraged fans to rush the stage. Fans rushed the stage and people were hurt including security and a police officer. After the show Travis was arrested and booked but released the same night around 11pm but will need to return to Arkansas for court. Travis Scott claims there was empty seating up front and he wanted the seats filled and he didn’t mean any harm but the rapper got busted for the same thing a couple years ago in  Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Funkmaster has a lot of Tupac fans and friends angry, Dj Funkmaster Flex claims Pac lied about the 1994 shooting and knew that Biggie had nothing to do with it.  3 Years later Biggie was smalls was allegedly murdered according to Flex because Pac never cleared things up. Naughty By Natures Treach and Spice One was close friends of Tupac and had some words for the DJ and even a song.

Ja Rule and Bill McFarland are accused of running a Ponzi scheme, the two entrepreneur were hosting a first class music festival for the successful millennials that they new would be a disaster. There is now a class action lawsuit with over 300 people on board suing the to entrepreneurs and organizers, some party goers suffered concertgoers suffered from bacterial infections, heat exhaustion and other illnesses and are still undergoing treatment, they are seeking $100 million in damages.

 

 

Outkast rapper Big Boy allegedly ran off with $40k after being booked for a concert and not showing up. James Griffin booked Big Boy for Freaknik festival in Sylvania, GA and wired half the fee to his manager. Less then a month before the show Big Boi’s manager complained about the line up for the show, and said if you don’t beef up the roster Big Boy just might not show up. To make sure plans go smooth James booked rapper Dae Dae, day of the show comes and the ATL rapper Big Boy is a no show, when they reached out to him the response was we told you to change the date or he might not show. Big Boi camp said he will perform at sometime but at this point James just wants his deposit back ($40k).

P Diddy is no stranger to lawsuits or court rooms and it looks like he will be in front of a judge soon. The Ciroc slash music mogul is being sued by his ex-chef Cindy Rueda for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and violation of whistleblower protection, Cindy was summoned to serve post sex meals for Diddy and his company and one time while he was naked and she was asked by the rap mogul do you like what you see. Cindy was once approached by one of Diddy’s buddies in the kitchen and he was naked and asked her to check out his junk, sounds like the Bad Boy brand is living up to its name. Ex Chef tried to complain to a assistant of Diddy’s about sexual harassment and it back fired on her she was then setup to look as if she has stolen a watch and will be prosecuted or she could sign a paper dropping everything and walk away. Rueda refused to sign any type of agreement and is moving forward with her lawsuit, and wait for a response from Diddy’s reps.

Its been said that Justin Bieber should start a boy band with the latest song put together by DJ Khaled. “Im The One” features Lil Wayne, Chance The Rapper, Quavo, could be the new NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, maybe the could compete with one of the top boy bands. Jay Z isn’t a lone in the lawsuit joining him will be MLB, Roc Nation, New Era, Lids and the San Francisco Giants Iconix is suing for at least $10,000,000 witch isn’t no small change, we will see soon how Jay counters this lawsuit.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are being sued for jacking beats for Neon Cathedral and hit song Thrift Shop.  According to a “legendary” New Orleans jazz musician Paul Batiste Thrift Shop has a mixture of “Hip Jazz” and “World of Blues” the beat horns melodies come from his tracks that were recorded 17 to 20 years ago. Paul Batiste has also filed suits  against T-Pain, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross I’m not sure if he won any of these cases but we will keep you posted.

Kevin Gates went from a short stay in a Florida jail for kicking a woman in the face to a 30 month sentence in Illinois state prison. Kevin hard core lyrics has became reality when a 2013 gun possession charge almost got him a 10 year stay if it wasn’t for his lawyer Herschel Rush.  Herschel release a statement say that Kevin Gates is pleased with his 2 and a half year stay,  fans might have a 3 year wait for some new music.

Young up coming rapper Kodak Black is flirting with hard time in prison. The rapper was on house arrest when he decided he was bored and out of all places to go he hit the strip club. Kodak was found not guilty of battery where he allegedly hit the bartender over the head, if the rapper lose the upcoming trial he will be facing 8 years of hard time and and a Florida State Prison and they are going for the max time.

 

Its been quietly spoken about since the election but rapper Talib Kweli isn’t biting his tongue! Trump was elected for pay back for having a Nig*a president Barack Obama. Talib believes the bar is set low for white people (Trump) high for African American (Obama) Barack and his family was called racist names and held to a very high standard while Trump lies daily and has divided or country and know was has said anything about it. When asked if Talib Kweli would ever sit down with Trump the rapper said no! he would need to make a lot of changes before that would ever happen.
