Joe Budden Responds to Eminem’s ‘Trader Joe’ Diss

Joe Budden doesn’t want any more smoke with Eminem.
After Slim Shady dissed him on his new album Music To Be Murdered By, Budden is speaking out. On the latest episode of “The Joe Budden Podcast,” the Slaughterhouse alum says he wants the Detroit rapper to stop dissing him.
“The same way I feel like he should stop dissing Lord Jamar, he should stop dissing me,” said Joe. “Ay whatever we had, that exchange, when you did all the videos, the ‘Trapped in the Closet’ interview videos, and when I said whatever I said on the pod, it was a moment in time.”

On the Anderson .Paak-assisted “Lock It Up,” Em calls out his former Shady Records signee. “Tryna save at Kroger / So why would I give a fuck about backstabbin’ Trader Joe for,” he raps.
But Budden says he’s done with the beef. “We had our exchange and it’s over. In 2020, I can’t harbor negativity toward not only one of the best rappers but somebody who I’m not angry at. That’s what we gotta stop doing,” he said.
Their fallout dates back to 2017 when Joe shared his thoughts on Eminem’s Revival album. Em fired back on his Kamikaze track “Fall” (“The closest thing he’s had to hits is smacking bitches,” he raps). Budden later declared that he had been a better rapper than Eminem for the last 10 years. “I’ve been better than you this entire fucking decade!” he said.
Music To Be Murdered By also features “I Will,” a collaboration with Joe’s former Slaughterhouse bandmates, KXNG Crooked, Royce da 5’9″, and Joell Ortiz.
Watch Joe address Eminem at the 3:00 mark.

Listen: TOBi + Game Get Soulful On New CITY BLUES (Remix) – “Boys In Blue Paint The Town Red”

West Coast rapper Game and TOBi are keeping the warm vibes coming all winter 2020. The pair have linked up for their new “City Blues” anthem. Listen and comment below!

[embedded content]
TOBi releases the “City Blues” remix featuring Grammy-Award winner, The Game, produced by Free n Losh. TOBi continues to showcase his “unapologetic soul music” weaving in and out of bars while The Game delivers a painful narrative of trauma. Originally released in January 2019 conceptually the song was inspired by Marvin Gaye’s “Inner City Blues.” The single received critical acclaim from Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Foxx and everyone’s favorite Uncle Snoop calling TOBi the voice of the culture and of the youth. “This song is special to me because it’s so honest. Hearing The Game’s verse for the first time was unreal and the picture he paints is vividly intense. These are the realities of the world we live in. No filters, no apologies. It’s amazing as artists that we can release these experiences to the world through music,” says TOBi.

Less than a year ago TOBi released his debut studio album, STILL which garnered high praises from media such as: i-D, BET, Billboard, Paper & L’Officiel. The album explored the multiple facets of masculinity and the vulnerability he went through shortly after immigration. STILL’s production largely came from Toronto’s Free n Losh, Grammy-winning !llmind as well as a return link up from Take A Daytrip punctuated by the album’s only feature VanJess.

Drake Reacts to Tying Hot 100 Record

3 hours ago News

Drake made history on the charts with “Life Is Good.”
His Future collaboration debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, tying him with the “Glee” cast for the most Hot 100 entries of all-time with 207. Taking to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, Champagne Papi reposted the stat and reacted to the accomplishment.
“One more to go,” he said before adding, “Gleeful!”

Drake has new music on the way so it’s only a matter of time before he surpasses the “Glee” cast, whether with his own single or another collaboration.
The Toronto rapper first hit the Hot 100 in May 2009 with “Best I Ever Had” and has remained a mainstay on the charts ever since with No. 1 hits like “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” and “In My Feelings.”
Drizzy is now working on his next album, which is expected to feature a collaboration with Chris Brown. “He’s also on my album as well,” Drizzy told TIDAL’s “Rap Radar” podcast. “I don’t know what’s gonna make the album yet, but we have done more music together.”

EXCLUSIVE: Read A Letter R. Kelly “Allegedly” Sent To One Of His Victims

(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors are firing back at R. Kelly's attempt to learn the names of two women who have accused him of sexual assault.
Prosecutors have been trying to keep the victims' names shielded from R. Kelly, in fear of his reach from his cell in the Cook County Prison, where he is jailed on multiple Federal and state charges for abusing teenage girls and in some instances, grown women.
Last week, R. Kelly's lawyer Steven Greenberg demanded the names of Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, who have accused him of molesting them as part of a 12-count RICO case against the singer.
R. Kelly's lawyer complained that he cannot mount a proper defense without knowing the identities of his accusers.
Lead prosecutor Richard A. Donoghue proved his claims that the singer is hell-bent on exposing the women by presenting a sinister letter R. Kelly allegedly sent to Jane Doe 6.
According to Donoghue, R. Kelly has allegedly exploited his inability to read or write in a crusade to terrorize his victims by mailing them messages along with lewd, compromising pictures.

Threatening letter R. Kelly allegedly sent to one of his victims.
The screenshots included text messages between R. Kelly and Jane Doe #6, and were sent from his iPhone. The photographs included a
close-up picture of Jane Doe #6’s face and the top portion of her exposed breasts.
Another image displayed Jane Doe #6 kneeling on a bed with her butt exposed along with an ominous threat: “I assure you this would not be considered a Sunday go-to-meeting dress."
"The defendant’s writing limitations do not shield him from direct association with this letter as, on its face, other associates of his were involved in mailing the letter and screenshots from the defendant’s iPhone were sent with the letter," revealed Richard P. Donoghue.
"His literacy difficulties, of course, do not mean that the defendant is incapable of directing others to draft a threatening letter on his behalf or of being informed of and approving its specific contents," Donoghue argued.
A judge has yet to rule.

FCC Commissioner Asks Major Labels to Investigate Latest Payola Accusations

Payola accusations have plagued the music industry for decades. Many artists and industry executives have accused other artists and their labels of gaming the system with pay-for-play but surprisingly, nothing much has improved even in today’s age.

A recent Rollingstone report titled “Want to Get on the Radio? Have $50,000?” created headlines which made the FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly send an official letter to the Recording Industry Association of America asking the organization to investigate “possible violations of federal laws and regulations that expressly prohibit payola.” Money or goods passed on from record labels to radio people to influence airplay for certain artists is almost like an open secret in the industry.

Many believe that FCC’s regulations are so weak that they have rarely taken serious action to curb the practice of payola. But the RIAA — a trade body which represents record labels — responded to Mike O’Rielly saying they can’t help much in the matter and that the labels need to be approached directly.
The Federal Communications Commissioner has now penned a letter to all the three major labels: Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group, asking them to explain what steps they take to prevent payola. “Such practices, in turn, create unfair financial advantages for some, to the detriment of others. Additionally, artificially and secretly facilitating the commercial success of certain performers — or their management at others’ expense disadvantages American consumers by undermining access to artists they might otherwise prefer,” he writes to the labels.

Mike O’Rielly has asked the labels to provide answers to a few specific questions about what all mechanisms they have in place and the actions they intend to take to stop the dangerous trend. “Accordingly, I seek information on the mechanisms put into place to prevent payola within your respective organizations, your understanding of the current payola rules, and what further steps may need to be taken, if any. I respectfully request that each of you provide answers to the following questions by the end of February 2020.”
You can read the letter in full here. We will keep you updated on this important matter.
